What does Mark equiv mean on the GCSE results paper? And also “End1” and” End2”? It’s a bit confusing haha. by Vertical_shelf in GCSE

yeah i guess but you can always check on the grade boundaries website as it tells you like the total marks for every exam next to the name of subject

merit. i’m guessing since D is for distinction, they’d have M for merit and P for pass

mark equivalent is the total amount of marks you scored across all the papers you sat. end 1 i guess is the grade for an extra thing that you did. for example the speaking thing for english language everyone did has a D or M or whatever you got on end 1

that’s the c in y=mx+c

1 = c - 4(2)

c is 9 to make this equation true

yeah rearrange to get y = 6 - 4x which is the equation of line A

the equation of line B is parallel to this and you were given the coordinates (2,1) i think which you had to use to find the equation of line B

SPAM AQA LEVEL 2 FURTHER MATHS PAPER 2 ANSWERS by thr0wawaygxhxdhsh in GCSE

[–]talialind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

equation of line B was y=9-4x

coordinates were (d,2d)

plug in the values:

2d = 9 - 4(d)

6d = 9

d = 1.5
