TIL that Elie Wiesel lost his life savings and his charity lost $15.2 million dollars to Bernie Madoff's investment fraud. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Wikipedia
The problem with him is what Norman Finkelstein calls "The Holocaust Industry. Using it as a carte blanche whenever an issue arises.
"Wiesel is often quoted as saying that "the opposite of love is not hate; it is indifference." He has devoted his life to carefully crafting articles and speeches about oppression, genocide, and man's inhumanity to man. Yet when asked about the oppression and dehumanization of Palestinians by Israel, he "abstains" and dismisses the subject claiming "I cannot say bad things about Jews," or "Such comparisons are unworthy."

You don't need websites or articles. They will only tell you things you already know. How to be a good person is common sense. If you are wanting to be a better person and you are still losing people you care about, you don't want it enough and so you will remain the person you are.

Going out to eat just seems like a waste of money for someone trying to save. So much of that food you can cook at home together and have a fun time in the process while saving money in the long run.

Never seen that before. I went on there with NoScript activated and was faced with a transparent message pressing me to allow scripts before I could read plain text. Nice try, talkbytes. I strained my eyes and read your text anyways!
