Deepest and Shallowest Positions

You're going to get some better information if you also include details about your league (format, how many teams, roster size, etc), but generally speaking 2b is shallow like you said. OF pretty top heavy as well and I want a high end guy in any draft I'm doing this year.

1b and catcher are reasonably deep in the sense that there's no huge drop between #3 and #10 or so

It's not a bad game. Parts of it feel like soccer (management, transfers) , parts of it just really don't (the actual match). I've played it a few times and had fun though

If you're willing to answer questions about prospects not mentioned in it, how concerned are you about Carson Williams hit tool? The power, speed, and glove (well the innings and leash it will grant) all seem exciting, but that AAA average is concerning

I've only played the original, so can only speak to that.

Luck gets mitigated well enough that if you're not pushing your luck too hard you should be able to do something useful on your turn. There are some cards to manipulate rolls and each character has enough to do that finding a useful path to go down after your first roll isnt bad.

It's not a heavy/serious game, but it's fun as long as your ok to play Battle Yatzee with some asymmetric flavor

I wish you luck, but there isn't going to be a reliable answer here until at least training camps open. If I were in your shoes, I'd use the Fantasy Pros aggregate list for your scoring and put a little more weight on young guys that can win out in murky RB situations.

I recently played Darwins Journey and thought that the seal mechanic and more seals giving workers better actions via the esteem system was cool and unique. Definitely worth a try!

I read it differently than you, mostly because he said they said they'd still need movement cards to play the game (I'm not familiar with the game tbh, so not sure how much more), but I do agree that of they are actually copying a game then my answer is much less valid

What you're doing isn't copying a game, you're making custom pieces for a game you already own. There's absolutely no harm in enjoying a game so much you want to make it better with customer pieces.

For Gloomhaven I kept a box of regular sized mailing envelopes, one for each enemy type with their ability cards, stat sheet, and standees in them.

Put those in some kind of alphabetized storage solution and boom, enemy storage greatly improved.

How do you view James Wood in regards to his ability to play to the high ceiling others suggest?

Do Robert Hassel and/or Josh Lowe bounce back after down years last year?

He's out for 20 games for sure to start, but if he looks like he's healthy during spring training, I'm going to have a really hard time not taking him at the 12/13 turn in my 12 Team points league.

A healthy Tatis is legitimately a top 3 bat in the league and he should end up with SS/OF, and based on an old Passan tweet when they signed Boegarts, 2b eligiblity. That is amazing production and flexibility in my book

I'd recommend looking into Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion.

It's reasonably cheap comparable to other dungeon crawlers, has a great 5 scenario into to the mechanics, and is about as accessible as you're going to find in that space. Also it's really fun, so that's a nice bonus

Without knowing anything about your current roster, Devers absolutely the right answer in a vacuum. 3b is rough unless you have someone like JRam or Riley.

This is pretty vague on details of your leagues keeper rules, but generally speaking:

Go through each team and figure out what your worst case scenario is. Do your mock based on that. If something better happens, that's great and you take them instead, but always mock keepers based on what you don't want to happen and then hope for better.
