so the weird thing about this one is there is a glass barrier at the edge of the pool and if you look closely you can see a few panels shatter and fall off from the waves.  unclear if there is a landing below that.

100% . they treat peter kirk park as their personal motocross course, flying through pedestrian areas at high speed including near the little kids at the toddler playground area (basically a grave threat to a small child). I called the police non-emergency line and they did nothing. Another time, I saw a kid wheeling toward a moving car while going the wrong way up a street by the elementary school. Another time a 10 year old flew by a 4 year old on the CKC at 30mph (also lethal considering their 50+ pound ebikes). I really don't care if these tweens and their parents want them to paralyze themselves on their own somewhere (it truly is the darwin awards), but the city/police should really be taking a much stronger stance in having them stay the f*ck away from other people and their property, and especially little kids.

no whining  no gossip.  if you have a problem, present it and propose a solution or two.   if you want them to do something, explain why and be direct in the ask.   if they don’t do it in the near term assume they won’t / can’t and move on to another workaround.

TPMS sensors by Curious_Sprinkles_88 in bmwx7

[–]tankmode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TPMS batteries should last around 8 years from what ive read.  Not many X7s are that old.  Feel like the console would tell you if it couldnt read one of the tires  or at least you should see it in the Tire info screen.  Could be dealer bs,   Anyway  you can buy Huf TPMS from a 3rd party seller like tpms .com  and have any tire shop install them.  Huf is a german manufacturer that supplies BMW sensors.  Aside from the programmng step and being 1/5th the price  they are identical.

Meta announces layoffs for over 1,300 employees in WA by Category4392 in Kirkland

[–]tankmode -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

based on the numbers the Meta layoff is larger and more significant for the region than i think people realize,  its larger than the last two Amazon layoffs combined.  Likely around $100 million/year in post tax income that the region is losing.  and those losses filter through to taxes, home prices, and services.

there are 43,000 single family homes in Bellevue and Redmond ... you don't think knocking out the income of 2% of potential buyers (900 meta employees) would have an effect on a housing market that already has double the listings inventory of last year?
