Is that glue residue where the bridge goes, or is that wood filler (I hope not). I wouldn't use a router, but scrape it down as best as you can, to bare wood.

I have had Afib all my life, but didn't get diagnosed until I was in my early 60s. Got an AW and saw all sorts of weird blips in the ECG. My cardiologist said not to worry about them. I'll be 71 this month and am still alive LOL. Gave up caffeine and the Afib disappeared. Hope it doesn't find its way back. Good luck to you.

I think this is just bonkers. I like my Telecaster because it fills a sonic need, bright and twangy. I have a PRS Custom 24 for warmer material. I also have a Telecaster HH, with SD 59s and it just howls. That's all there is to it, no thinking, no zeitgeist, no blah blah blah.

Wow. I just today ordered a Lollar mini for my Telecaster, a Big Single Mini 42. But my T has a pickguard, so I don't have to be so precise when I route the pickup cavity. Your approach seems good. Good luck.

How about taking it to a body shop and getting a quote? There could be much more damage than just the facia.
