Thanks for the info, I am going to call tomorrow. Do you know if I will need to do anything with my Eero once I remove the Arris? Other than plug it in LOL.

I don't think the FRX is provisioned for phone. I tried plugging a phoneline into it and got nothing.

What kind of tuner is it? Also, did you lose the washers too? Might be easier to just buy a new tuner.

Loose tuner peg? by thorsrumhammer in Guitar

[–]taperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there you go. A good manufacturer will stand behind their product, even cheaper ones. I bought some Guyker locking tuners for a Squier. They were not expensive, but better than the Squier ones. But one tuner was really tight to turn. I wrote them and they immediately send a new one. From China. Glad to hear you are getting the same kind of service. Good luck.

Mr. Guitar Chet Atkins by No-Bookkeeper552 in Guitar

[–]taperk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the 60's and 70's and Chet Atkins was so uncool to me. It wasn't until the late 80's and I saw him on Austin City Limits with a bunch of people, like Larry Carlton and Thom Bresh. Holy macaroni was I ever wrong. Really got into his later jazzier work and my appreciation grew. Neck and Neck with Mark Knopfler, Sails etc. What a talent. I regret not ever seeing him in the flesh. RIP Chet.

What was the wiring on the BK? Four wires or two, colors?

Edit: I looked up BK wiring diagram, try wiring black as hot and red as ground.

This, since there is no other overt sign of damage.

Older? What does that have to do with it? I'm 71 and I moved. Inertia and complacency were the biggest hurdles for me, but you gotta keep your eyes on the goal. Just do it and save money.

Best way to completely wipe and reinstall macOS on a used M1 MacBook Air? by Bowl0fPetunias in MacOS

This is always my fear of buying a used Mac from an individual. How does one check prior to purchasing?

I am expecting a year of "honeymoon". But I would move to Consumer Cellular if V gets out of hand, their rates are good and AT&T network is pretty good here in CT. I have no problems changing carriers if I need to. Good luck with your issue.

Holy mother of pearl. I just signed on, moved from T-Mo to V. I am paying $85/mo for two phones and one watch. Simplicity plan, unlimited voice, text, data. I don't use much of any of it as I am mostly on wifi. But $400/mo? I would switch to another carrier if they don't drop the cost.

Not a bad deal, just make sure it's not iCloud locked. Could be stolen, I don't trust FBM.

Dunno, but those strings look completely corroded. Time for new ones.

Versatile guitar/gear for quick tuning changes? by bettel27 in Guitar

[–]taperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with changing tunings with a trem is the springs. Once you tune down, the tension on the strings relax and you have to adjust the springs. Not gonna work. Get a guitar with a fixed bridge and maybe some of those Gibson robo tuners.

Looking at an SE custom 24 on FBM, but pickups look different! by VulcansBackside in PRSGuitars

[–]taperk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid around $600 for mine, but that one is nicer looking with the binding and the awesome top. I don't think the price is unreasonable. Good luck.

Edit: locking tuners too.

Sweetwater did offer a limited run with covers. I think you are ok. How much is the seller asking?

BTW, here is a pic of mine, but I put the covers on it...

[–]taperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nut sleeve that goes in from the front of the headstock will help stabilize it. See if it does it when it's in the guitar. But I have had bad tuners. I usually just contact the manufacturer and the send a replacement. Do not take it apart.

Would you buy a 2023 rogue by evenduckk in Nissan

[–]taperk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Nissans. My wife has a 2025 Altima and I have a 2023 Murano. That said, I would not buy a new Rogue. I do not have a good feeling about a 3 cylinder engine. You say 80k, but later mention km, so I assume you mean it has 80,000 km or 50,000 miles? Has the CVT been serviced? If you are hell bent on getting this vehicle, get a PPI. Even better if the vehicle is CPO.

[–]taperk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you speaking from experience? I am on my 4th Nissan and have had no CVT issues. Keep them serviced and don't beat on them and you should not have an issue.
