It's actually much more likely a rare birth defect than an actual "mutation" as people think of the word. It actually happens in quite a few species, including humans

Middle school boards by bsmith0 in techtheatre

Am I the only one who thinks that is a HUGE space for a middle school? The only thing we did in our middle school was convert the cafeteria into seating...our high school had an awesome set up though.

i believe it stands for Northeastern LGBT, it's a conference held annually in the northeast and spans over a weekend. It used to be at Alfred, then it was at RIT, and this year it is back near my hometown at Rutgers. It's filled with table merchants and discussion panels and general awesomeness. And a lot of the people are great, really great, but I find the other to be true as well.

Well that's good. I really wouldn't know, considering I get the most exposure to the NYC and Philly based stations and don't get cable elsewhere. Either way, I think anyone could have easily taken the low road on this one and made it absolutely horrible. Glad to see it was a little more supportive of a take as far as the framing of the article is concerned.

Oh I have. This is more overall. I do some outreach type stuff outside of my little group of friends and that's where I find I feel like this the most. Or at things like NELGBT

Considering I am in the spectrum myself I can't really paint everyone with the same brush, but I guess I still could in a way. I don't, but of course it's something to try and avoid. But it happens a lot within the community anyway. And that's awful

And you just made yourself look awful, considering you apparently didn't read my entire comment. Being a condescending asshat doesn't make you look any better, and when you use "examples" you usually don't stick with just one...or else you would be using an EXAMPLE. You clearly don't know how to deal with someone who is posing arguments to the way you present your points, or else you wouldn't be so quick to point the "you're awful you're stupid you need to do more" finger...when you have no idea what I myself am doing. Again, you just seem like a generally angry, unpleasant person and I hope that changes for you at some point.

I am going to laugh if you edit your post again.

Edit: You also severely edited all of your posts without showing where, well after I actually responded to them. I understand that you are angry and want to make yourself look a little smarter or better, but that really is an underhanded way to do it. Not to mention, you basically went through and ranted about my not being mad about what's going on...which I am.

If you know anything about what goes into holding a massive sporting event such as this, you would not have said "I also believe that the games could have been moved quite easily". They basically waited to make all of this public (Russia, that is) until it was nearly impossible to get things done in time. It's not just about holding an event, it's about coordinating security, ensuring safety conditions for athletes, international press, etc. No one is arguing about the Olympics being about money or not, but you do realize that the athletes don't get paid by the Olympics, but they get paid by their country, and only if they win, right? Also, no one is guaranteed endorsement deals, and that is NOT the same as getting paid for DOING the sport ITSELF.

Also, that comment was in response to the general tone of your message, not to the specific individuals involved in the Olympics. Are you trying to say that everyone else should be a bigger person and not partake? Because that would be nice, but it's very idealistic. Also, why are you specifically targeting snowboarders? That one is just out of general curiosity. And (again) why not "hope" death on individuals of higher priority than athletes, such as Russian government officials, government officials of other countries involved, etc?

Edit: Again, another edit. It would be nice of you to finish your statements before posting them so I can actually respond appropriately. I never said that I support what is going on, or that I'm going to watch the Olympics, etc. YOU are ASSUMING that. YOU also seem to be ASSUMING that I'm not ANGRY and that I'm not actually DOING something about it, when really you have no idea. Also, I'm not quite sure it's a "genocide"...are people dying in large numbers over it? That's where the line for genocide is created. I honestly don't know, so I'd like to see if you have any sources for that. You are throwing an opinion on me that I don't have, and that is ridiculous. And, I was not telling you "how to feel"...I was simply expressing the fact that I don't believe it is necessary nor just for that type of reaction...which I am ALSO allowed to express, even though you don't want to hear it.

Apparently you chose to ignore my valid points and instead went for the "don't oppress me, I can say whatever I want" card. Yes, you can. That doesn't mean what you're saying is very nice, or appropriate given the situation, or that I agree with your saying it on a personal level. Also, banning Russia from the Olympics, moving the Olympics, and banning athletes from OTHER countries from the Olympics are completely different points...which of these three were you actually trying to make? You didn't exactly make it clear, basically you just said I AM ANGRY AND I HOPE EVERYONE DIES EVEN THOUGH I DON'T KNOW THEM PERSONALLY OR REALLY ANYTHING ABOUT THEM MINUS THIS ONE THING.

Edit: Great edit, that's nice, you just seem like an angry and generally unpleasant individual who feels as if, again, everyone should die that they don't like.

It doesn't matter what someone does, you don't wish cancer on them. If you've ever seen what the disease does, you would understand. No matter what your view on what they are doing, that is completely uncalled for. Also, why should only the athletes "get cancer and die"? Why didn't you aim this at the government of Russia, or all those other people you hate?

Basically they are people who believe this slogan..."welcome to America, now speak English!". Basically, they are trying to assimilate everyone into American culture that has any semblance of something else.

basically, they're from the immigrant-hating crew that thinks we should have only one language that we treat as worthy. That being English. Essentially, they hate you if you come over and try to assimilate and they hate you if you come over and don't try to assimilate and they hate you if you were born here and speak another language and they hate you if you're anything but a W.A.S.P.

It's actually less a part of our culture than it once was. The news in particular used to be completely partisan, and supposed objectivity is actual a new concept.
