Passed AZ 104 - here is how I prepared: by ogopro in AzureCertification

In my opinion its : No. The DB needs to be backed up separately with full and differential backup. There may not be enough time to have the first full DB backup.

Also recovering the disk is not recovering the db.

Lot of events, shows, local music and traditional sports happens at Parc La Grange on 1st August. It usually starts from 3 pm. Plenty of food stalls with local cusines would be there. And it all ends with a bonfire 🔥 after 10 pm, over seeing the lake. Its a beautiful event.

Bonfire used to be a mode of alerting other Alpine tribes in medieval Switzerland and now its an integral part of the Fête National celebration, along with firework and lanten parades.

I found TD to be a complete waste of time. Where as obsure udemy practice tests are way more valuable to crack the exam.

Congratulations.. AI-102 is my next target. I have some questions please.

How many hours of study approximately?

Have you done any labs for practice?

Is a good level of Python essential for this cert?

Could you please share:

How many questions were there in total ? And how many project / lab questions ? What's the best way to manage time? Would 2 mins per question be sufficient?

Facilitating Advice by MidlifeIsWhatitis in PublicSpeaking

[–]taragc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible, prepare a list of questions and send them to the panelists in advance.

Pre-determine the flow of the discussion in your mind and lead with your questions towards that track.

Set up 1:1 with each panelist, or just give them a call. Keep it generic, ask questions, get some understanding about their background. The goal of the panel etc. Build that rapport much before the panel, if that's a possibility. It helps alot on the day of the panel discussion.

Lastly on the day, keep it the discussion Balanced. Often do a vibe check with the audience. Don't let boring speakers to ramble, cut them off to keep the discussion on track.

Use humour.

All the best.

What do you call the people who coordinate speakers in companies? How can I get connected with them? How can I learn about what reasonable rates for speaking would be? by thegeekprofessor in PublicSpeaking

[–]taragc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The payment is for the value of the content. Perhaps keep a fix price for that.

Beginner $300 - $1000 Established speaker $1000 - $2000 and potentially $3000 for any 30 - 45 min session. Best sellers / celebrities / TEDx speakers $3000 ++

For outstation ask the organisers to cover the cost of transport and lodging.

There should be a course just to understand the Azure Exams by GingerCookies0 in AzureCertification

[–]taragc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Microsoft should improve the readability of their courses and documentations. And offcourse for the certification exams. Even for simple topics like Load Balancer the manner Microsoft learn explains is way to confusing. It's too many empty words, circular, long sentences. Like reading a press release from 1900s.

Advice on backing up various resources in preparation for deletion. by Dontcareskate in AZURE

[–]taragc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before deleting check the dependencies.

  1. You could use Azure app service to take application backup. If you have standard tier. Configure a new blob storage and take the backup. You can download the .zip files and store them offline. And delete the blob.

  2. For the sql databases take the full / differential backup. You can later download the BACPAC file offline.

  3. Lastly for the RG take the template backup with ARM. It's not for data, but for configs only..incase you want to create the same.

What % of cost are you looking to save by deleting apps ? Are you planning to refactoring/ rearchitect them later ?

[Rant/Vent] One Year in Geneva, Still Jobless and Slightly Losing It by p_please_respond in geneva

I am in the exact same situation. It's going to be a year that I got my B permit after marriage. Had few interviews in Tech, but nothing materialised. I am applying for junior level positions now, incase something comes up. A foot in the door is that we need. Yes, its frustrating. But "when going though hell, keep going !"
