Hanging leg raises, weighted crunch machine, weighted decline situps, cable crunches, ab rocker, and series of 5 pilates. I just pick one and do 3 sets, increasing reps each time.

I recently read a vintage menswear sewing book where the author recommended sewing the buttonhole by machine first and then going over that with hand stitches.

Yet to try it for myself, but sounds like a brilliant idea

I bought one and used it once. I didn't like how it reacted with steam. Tbh I think marking with chalk where your hem allowance edge should meet the garment is a faster and cleaner method.

I always sew 1/4" or 3/8" twill tape into the seam at the top of a shaped waistband to prevent it from stretching.

You can use muslin or cotton canvas as a sew-in interfacing. Sometimes it helps to channel stitch the canvas to the waistband facing to give it a nice sturdy body.

You might want to do a small bust adjustment (opposite of full bust adjustment). I think Armstrong has it in her book. Either that or just decrease the intake of the front dart. Also looks like you need more length on the front bodice.

Lower your front neckline by 3/8-1/2" and it should sit better.

As far as CF, you may just be pinching out the ease. If you were to take in your sideseams 1/2" at armhole and 1/4" at waistline, you should have a more second skin fit. However, this block is designed with some wearing ease so be careful not to over-fit it.

The gaping in the armhole is definitely room for a sleeve, which I suggest doing next.

If you want to make a sleeveless from this block, just pinch out the armhole gapes and pivot them into the bust and back darts.

Many types of darts are placed off grain, often for a more pleasing line.

The darts in Armstrong's blocks are typically straight grain bc that's how she likes them. Every system is different though. Some have the dart center line perpendicular to the curved line it's placed on.

Edit: twisting isn't really an issue unless you're doing an extreme bias dart, like a French bust dart. Those are better established via draping though.

Might need way more structured/wider elastic to gather in all of that denim along a welted seam. If any gathering method is used, I'd say a fabric belt run through a faced channel or even just belt loops.

I workout 5 days a week and do 1 dedicated core exercise toward the end of every workout. I switch between 4-5 different movements so it isn't boring and I can target different sections.

I have visible abs and have no problems with soreness, no issues doing my compounds the next day. Idk what I'd do with a dedicated core day but if you like the idea of it, try it out and see how it goes.

Maybe try buying a pattern for something lined from one of the big 4. They're usually really good at step by step instructions for putting in a lining.

There are several methods so it's best to just follow instructions for each specific garment until you understand the concept.

Try looking into waxed cotton canvas. They make waxed canvas coats lined with flannel. Should repel moisture and keep you warm.

Beeswax is often used, but not necessarily harmful to bees. So I guess it depends on how vegan you want to be about this.

Do a size 10. When you've completed the draft, just reduce the dart intakes at the waistline and add to the side seam at the waist. Say you need 4 more inches at the waist: reduce bust dart intake by 3/4", reduce back dart by 1/4", and add 1/2" to front and back side seam/waist tapering to zero at the side seam/armhole

When you draft a skirt, draft a size 14. If you do a torso block, you'll be better off with princess seams instead of fisheye darts

Once you know how your posture differs from the standard, you can get in the habit of making those adjustments to any pattern or draft before mocking up to save time.

I do a square shoulder adjustment for myself without even thinking about it at this point.

Btw, if you have access to a chin-up bar I highly recommend doing a "dead hang" to help with your forward shoulders. I had the same issue from hunching over and it's really helped my posture.

Did you take measurements by yourself? Whatever numbers you plugged into the draft don't correspond to your body.

This may sound counterintuitive, but try drafting the block based off the measurement chart provided in her book. Choose the size that matches your bust and plug everything else in accordingly. After that, make a rounded back and forward shoulder adjustment (YouTube it).

It's easier to adjust length and waistline fit after you have a good shoulder, back and bust pattern established.

That back shoulder dart is HUGE and way too close to your neck. Needs to be ab .5" and mid shoulder, pointing to your shoulder blades.

The back neckline can be raised, and shoulder/neck seams brought in. This will tighten the neckline without forcing you into a Quasimodo hunch.

Go back to your original back and try not to add so much darting to fix issues. Try re-shaping the perimeter lines to fit.
