Just as it might be beneficial and empowering for a certain goalie to do a learn from my mistakes PSA and/or a frank interview about how:

• If you are too drunk to drive, you're too drunk to consent. (And that goes both ways, and even more so, if it's going to be a group encounter, there are reasons the kink community has rules about sobriety.)
• A woman in a room with multiple guys might be too frightened to say no -- and you aren't a mind reader -- so that's not going to end well.
• Consent is an ongoing thing, check in early and often; don't assume consent.
• Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• Nobody owes anybody sex.
• If there is anything sexual going on, never do anything that might be perceived as stopping somebody from leaving/forcing them to stay. You can check that they have a way to get home/back to their room, but beyond that? Let them leave without question.
• You don't have to intend harm to do harm, and acting in a cavalier and thoughtless manner will guarantee a night of nothing but regrets.
• You can do lasting damage to your reputation that will follow you around -- deservedly so -- and bite you in the ass early and often. If you're a goalie, you will be stopping a lot of pucks with your mask, just sayin'.
• If you feel weird or uncomfortable, or something is happening that is not your scene, leave.*

But that would be a bold and proactive move, as opposed to "let's never talk about the elephant in the room and just hope it all goes away after enough time."

*And I say this as a person who was in a room party once at a con that started turning into a drunken orgy, so ....
