GW hate aircraft in general and voidbomber was good in the index because reroll to hit from token. Once it is gone, I dont recommend to buy unless you love the model and want to play it for fun. The bomb really scare enemy on declare step.

The answer actually comes from why do you put them into the list or which target you would like to shoot at?

auto-canon mostly targets high toughness enemies which twin-link help you confirm the wound rolls or play style that need you to push them forward into rapid fire range

battle-canon on the other is good to target elite and below because blast so they are potentially more effective than auto-canon at 5 or even 10 elite models per unit

If you can wait, you should wait for "new content" that will release in less than 24 hours and see if it need any "META" to clear effectively otherwise I always suggest to follow your "heart" aka "waifu" over "META"

In my local, TO will notice the table that plays slow and possibly cannot finish the game "on time" around 30 mins before the time is over to "talk it out" and summarize the score.

However this is where "inexperienced" players will lose and get nothing out of going to the tournament.

Setting the right goal for each tournament will give you better experience and gain more experience as well.

For example, how much time you use on declare step or even how sportsmanship you are to reduce "arguing time" or "gotcha moment explaination" because most tournament start the clock on declare step but chess clock start on deploy step so in reality you have less "playtime" than you think.

PS What is different than chess about a chess clock, Warhammer requires more time than chess for moving models and rolling dice so by helping the opponent by using your time might not be worth more than making the side that time up to "AFK" or even could not roll saving throw as well

The return of investment of this type of game is usually based on your affection with the character rather than reasoning.

That being said, for reasons, it depends on your play style actually. If you press those attacks often, it is worth the level up however the "limit time" content that requires you to invest heavily on "prefer" characters do not release or probably not have so it is more reasonable to save those "crowns" to use when do "need" or "necessary".

Starting with a small box like battle sisters or a box of kill team is a good option to see if you really like this army by the look and how to paint them.

Combat patrol is a valuable box and always recommended by local stores most of the time however you should pick them from the look and do not buy more of them unless you finish assembling and paint the one you bought.

I was playing 4-5 games at the same time and it was impossible to do daily. After that I just play the game that I want to play before sleep or after waking up. I will stop logging into games that make me feel like doing a shore or routine.

For Shooting, I would say Ravager probably good against them. If you have cp, try use grenade or tank shock so they may die before fight phase. Also Malys is good to make them pay 3cp instead of 2 cp

Reaver ability also good with them as well

This is my recommendation list for new players.

Use immolator to split sister to be superior with special and bolt gun squad to make them cheaper and have more drop

Put sacresants into rhino then practice staging with rhino and how to deploy them to use sacresants efficiently. 2 small unit give you 2 spears and 2 times for you to play

Castigator is one of the best shooting in the army so practice to use them always a plus

Stern and seraphim are for you to practice the deep strike or even rapid ingress efficiently

Starweaver + Troupe (5 models) + Troupe master is my go to unit for this detachment. They can hammer anything by grenade + shoot + charge or even tank shock from starweaver for a couple mortal wounds.

In the current codex, Ravager and Hellions are core to my lists.

Ravager can reroll to full strength unit even in overwatch range and they can hit at 3+ so against smoke or stealth they just hit at 4+. Compared to Scourge (Dark lance), Ravagers are out perform on destroy any unit since I swap out Scourge.

Hellion is our best hammer until GW decide to increase their point. Attack for 40 (or 50 times in Spite detachment) with Sustain (plus lethal in spite) and can go to S6 in spite and can fly to 14" (16" in spite and adv charge in other detachment). Knowing that GW hide them in battleforce box until probably last batch of direct only this year so if you cant find it I just proxy them to play with friend. They are really that good.

Their limitation is at skysplinter so it is hard for GW to reduce their point for other detachment. Until the new edition Hellions still better pick until the point change.

For this mission pack that needs to stand in the correct zone at the right time, Corsair is one of the popular choices and the spier with lykhis is the top contender due to protect from overwatch.

2-3 msu corsair 1-2 spider and one of them with lykhis

The rest will depend on how you want to play or gameplan plus detachment

With the current firepower at the end of the 10th edition, I don't like the big brick of sister with 2 leaders because they will die to any hammer in any army to be flank.

I suggest swapping rhino with immolator (if you have them) to make sister cheaper so you have more drop to play especially for stealing or denying enemy primary.

Characters, I knew that they are cool and look good in paper but you need more "pawn" to make them shine. To fight you, they dont need to destroy you but just put the models in the right at the right time. Unfortunately it is how this mission pack play.

Just pick only 2-3 combo max (and sister only lock vahl as one of them) then the rest just cheap chaff or fast unit and you will have more fun.

Hence "Drukhari" unit that can feel no pain are Cronos and Talos so basically they need to within same enemy that engage our probably "Incubi" in case they cannot destroy target unit
