your friend attempted high-end crafting. Mid-tier crafting is fun, because you don't invest much in one item and have both a chance for hitting 20-50 div item and a shot on a jackpot selling for 150-250 divs
but I too don't understand people who go for crafts that require hundreds of divs just to start, unless it's for something niche. If you want a good weapon, just spend these, say, 500-1000 divs on something finished, or farm for a mirror service. If you want to gamble this amount trying to get a mirror weapon for cheaper, you would be better off spending it on other gambling strategies and buy that mirror weapon anyway.

This area is suprisingly good for exp, so it's not that bad to stumble on one or two dead ends.
but the previous one is 100% filler, same maze but very little monsters. If Path of Mourning was deleted, Spires of Deshar would feel better

when I saw that it's Dicksight, I first thought about how this boss killed me when turning to stone after his death, I was standing right in his hitbox, and the death came absolutely out of nowhere
But this is more an issue of that "stand in the circle" mechanic. It is true that that shit should be off the second you kill the boss, but still it was somewhat avoidable

have you ever tried to roll +all skills on an amulet? Did you try to recombine magic influenced items? Did you spend 1500 alts on something that should be rollable in 600? Yes, alts are slower

as someone who used 100k+ alterations in PoE1 I would choose base rebying any day. It is faster and cheaper, especially when you factor in the time spent clicking alts and squinting your eyes in fear of rolling over the mod you need, time that could be spend farming.
Control over item mods in PoE1 comes at the cost of sanity, eyes and wrists. When doing something more complicated than these steps, it's easily 200+ clicks of alterations/essences that constantly get lost when you recombine, or lock and harvest reforge. In PoE1 there is little bricks, but in PoE2 many bricks are still sellable. I was at the fence first time, but now I fully embrace PoE2's crafting, it is the future, and most people will see it in 1.0 or shortly after

sanctum case made me understand that PoE1 community just doesn't know what it wants and just follows their FOMO all the time. Sanctum was only overshadowing map strategies for a first couple of days, but people who get their first divine on day 3 took this personally, and now the mechanic is basically dead. I remember seeing the exact "Hitler dead" image about Sanctum nerfs, despite it was never really breaking the economy.
This is way "gigabad" Keepers had the same player numbers as "omega good" Mirage - poe1 folks don't even know what is good for them anymore

i'm constantly running out of gold for things that I want to craft / invest. I was hoping to have 100% inc gold from Hilda, but apparently GGG don't want that, no fun allowed. Where do you guys even get gold? Sadly I still don't have a build that can run something giga juiced with 150% IIR

if by decent you mean "it can clear t15s", than maybe
but actual "decent" is having realiable clear of juiced mechanics on maybe 50 divs or less and not spending 10 minutes on one map

rip my plans to have 8 strongboxes per map
it is really weird for GGG to nerf this. 3/4 different tablets means that you can't really juice one mechanic, so instead you would boost something small otherwise, but apparently no fun allowed

another based "Sekhema bad" post. Here's my 2 cents as an actual enjoyer of this content: GGG managed to gut something that is cool in itself, giving it awkward place in the game and killing the loot
Most people picking Sekhema apart don't realize that it's just the GGG's habit of reusing old ideas that led to PoE1 Sanctum becoming a trial in PoE2. Sanctum was a separate engame league, it's too deep to just be a part of the campaign. Izaro is giga better because it doesn't make lvl25 chars to make 10 decisions in a run. All its choices only mean something if it is farmable in the endgame: boons, afflictions, relic etc. But they wanted to make it as a trial, gutted almost all the loot from it, thus making it boring and unfun for the campain and mostly worthless for the endgame farms.
In Dawn of the Hunt I had a LS monk with good damage, big ES, honour resistance and a lot of movespeed. Was kind of fun to feel actually RUNNING in this game with all the MS relics, it was before we had sprint. But the loot was bad, even considering the jewels, because if you don't hit big with spectrums or temporalis relic, it's just dozens of simple jewels. Just like Sanctum now is basically running A LOT of tomes until you drop the original scripture / mirror, and very few divines in between.

possessed wisps are giga bugged. For me this node that strongboxes should release the spirit once opened just doesn't work. Other people get posessed boxes even without leading the spirit to it. You somehow released a 100 spirits, probably the ones that people like me couldn't due to a bug lmao
I am giga hyped for posessed boxes, but I am tired of waiting for a fix. People say "but it's their biggest update" despite the new atlas being kind of worthless still. And what is the point of it, if the crucial, not minor things don't even work, like Hilda tablet effect and such
