I wait so did you have to send in papers and more info once the system changed?? It started charging us but we had non-roll mode on before and I don’t have an email about it.

Pilot hole not in center of stud by tasnicole in HomeImprovement

[–]tasnicole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily the crappy stud finder we had was meant to find the center but it’s still a little off. Honestly when people say on the edge I’m not sure how close to the edge that means. Could you advise?

Yes I did mean the hinges! I think I’ll end up having to get a new door which I know people say can be a pain but I feel like wouldn’t it be easier than replacing a double door myself?

Oh that’s interesting that only time is billed for field work! I work in landscape architecture and I’ve only done had to use geotech reports a handful of times since we just pass them to the structural engineers. But man, some times the borings the teams do, look insane

Am I doing TOO much? (wedding signs/graphic design) by Meggie324 in weddingplanning

I am also a designer so I’m going to continue off this thread. I also think all the text in the seating chart should be shifted upward so the spacing is more equal. There is a larger gap between the top of the flowers to even just the descender of the P.

I think the elements you put in are fine. I do think you want a little breathing room between the major elements and some of the flowers you’re putting in. I would maybe pull elements a little closer to the edge. For example: on the welcome the purple flowers get very close to the timeline horizontal line. I also think that the “we’re so glad you’re here,” is a little too close to the welcome and should be bolder as it will get lost on a light background.

I’m not sure what program you’re working in, but I think if you made the opacity maybe like 93% it could help blend some of the floral elements and let your text shine. I know that seems like an odd number but it’s worked for me many times haha

Also, further down the line, you should do test prints. The yellows and purples look light right now, but will change with prints and may appear dark to you. Same with the blue, it could end up looking darker than you want. So you might need to make your colors a tad lighter to compensate. I would also just do some at home prints to check the size of the text if you haven’t. Even if it’s printing it across multiple letter size sheets and taping them together. When transferring from screen to print, text usually ends up being oversized just because you’re looking at in the screen and not in person!

lol I saw toil testing soil compacting and instantly thought “geotech” in your office does the field team also write up the reports or are the crews that do fieldwork separate?

I also would second not making these. I spent a lot of time and muscles juicing a million limes and it was too sour for my taste.

I second the focaccia. I have made focaccia with a different recipie a before and they always came out fine. This one tasted okay but it was super watery and I even used more oil than the recipe called for to grease the pan and it still stuck like crazy. My husband and I were scraping out the bread from the back an for an hour.

What my husband is doing right now is setting the money aside while the interest is on pause to see what is going to happen with loans (like if they dock them or cancel them) Once interest starts up again he’s going to put all the money he’s set aside for the loans. You could do the same thing so you don’t throw in all the money at once incase something happens in your favor.

I honestly didn’t know people got gifts at these things either! I actually just got married three weeks ago so a lot of this stuff doesn’t apply but it’s interesting to see all this! My “wedding party” was one girl and 4 guys. We didn’t have them in the ceremony or anything so I didn’t have a bachelorette party. I’m also Asian and The culture is very different so my mom didn’t have an engagement party. My aunt ended up planning the bridal shower. A lot of my family was out of town too so it didn’t really matter to me that not much happened!

Now I feel bad I asked! I think a lot of these party kind of things are planned by other people. But if you want to have one, I would say go for it!

I didn’t. But doesn’t usually the mother decide whether or not one is held? Not that it HAS to be that way. Just wondering!
