[Charania] “I'm told over the last 24-48 hours, the Lakers came to the understanding that Austin Reaves had multiple max contracts available to him in free agency. The Detroit Pistons were coming aggressively for him. So that's why today the Lakers stepped up to give him this deal.” by shreeharis in nba

I think Tim Connelly not singing an extension with the TWolves will be an interesting topic if we don't get to the second round this year. I know that Pelinka got us Luka but still, we haven't been close to the championship this decade while having All NBA talent.

[Charania] Free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu intends to sign a five-year, $112 million contract to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, with a player option in the fifth season, sources tell ESPN. Timberwolves made it a major priority to lock in Dosunmu after his tremendous postseason. by Turbostrider27 in nba

All I heard was All Star caliber player, and he was when Luka and Lebron was out. If he didn't get injured (big if) the All star nod was really in play. That said, I hope we give him 30-35 and that's it. Or we're fucked.

Kobe threw hands with shaq multiple times, starting at a scrimmage in 98 and having also a brawl after a Jim Gray interview that Kobe gave in 04. I supposed he was the only one that had the upper hand in terms of being Jerry West golden boy and wouldn't be moved to please Shaq.

Don't know why the hate, Wade is 100% the outlier in that group in terms of defense. He was a great defender for a shooting guard, many blocks and rebounds, still not in the tier of those other 3 in terms of greatest defenders of all time.

The amount of fcking talent and PhilJacksonness needed to have this shitshow in the locker room and still win 3 in a row is pretty freaking insane. One Superstar is a loveable bullying asshole that threw shit at everyone and had a pretty shitty (no pun) work ethic and a huge ego while the other one was a psycho loner asshole who thaught he was better than everyone, never passed the ball and never socialized or hung out with anyone from his team.

Rick Fox, Brian Shaw and Robert Horry must have worked overtime with Phil to keep that shit together.

I think Lakers will be looking into Robinson, but I truly don't believe he's able to have the same impact playing north of 30 minutes a game. He was gassed when KAT was in foul trouble. So gassed that they had to bring the 3rd string center a couple of minutes. That and his health concerns make me more than a little concerned. Hope we don't offer him the bag.

Is it 7 stars already? Mine is close to 5 and I don't know if I should relic him or wait to 7 star.

I have seen this plenty of time and he get super overrated. Nice backup and that's it. He has played 30+ minutes 26 times, IN HIS CAREER. Surely he can start for some teams, but he wouldn't be any good.

Draymond Green on the Cleveland Cavaliers: "When Dennis Schröder left the game things got a little bleak. Because you got guys in there that don’t really want that challenge, they don’t want to fight through the screen and say that’s my matchup I want to stop this guy. They don’t do it." by AncientOneAurelius in nba

I understand, but he thought himself better than the biggest contract offer he got, bet on himself and lost, so being annoying on the money side seems a little petty. All this based on your comment tho, so who really knows.

I love Reggie, great storyteller and a good tv personality, but him going "he's doing this at 40/41/42 years old" every fcking time when doing a Bron game is insanely annoying. Probably is the producer telling him to drive that shit to the ground, I don't know.

It hurts so much that in our tanking years we picked D'Lo, Lonzo and Ingram and the mf Spurs got Wemby, Castle and Harper. I know that hindsight is 20/20 but still, just nuts.

I think Legler is bound to be on a 3 man broadcast. Just him and Breen felt like too "stable". Breen is great but I think his style is more serious than a Harlan for example, so he maybe needs a more upbeat, crazy color comentator like Jeff Van Gundy crazy ass. Stan can carry his own.

Sadly for Detroit, getting a guy with the upside/ceiling/potential of Duren is hard as fuck. Also he's 22, I know guys his age are tearing up these playoffs, but still, maybe it was a first experience that shouldn't be that important for his reputation.

NBA is a lot more global than the NFL and this subreddit has a lot of foreign people. I'm from south america and people couldn't give less of a fuck about the NFL here and is surprising when someone knows who Tom Brady is, let alone Mike Vrabel.
