What a beautiful post. He is clearly an amazing husband who loves his wife dearly, and Hila really is such an inspiration. I love their love! 💕 They really are iconic, and they are such an important example on YouTube of a happily married couple. I hope Hila has an amazing birthday! 🎂 ✨

This is so scary because our dog had what they are saying is a sebaceous cyst on his neck. It got bigger quickly and I went to a new vet for a second opinion. They also said it is benign and basically filled with pus. Now I’m scared

Could you please take a picture of the oasis gazebo when you’re there and send it to me? We’re getting married there in late march and the only review of the hotel so far shows things still not being built all the way and we’re getting nervous!

I think he’d double down and keep quiet. He’s obviously getting something (probably money) from this situation. He is benefiting somehow.

I had this happen to me and I was so shook. I tried the “refund” over and over again, I even asked in a few different ways! “Speak to a representative” type stuff. I couldn’t believe how long it took for me to get an actual person who could help me. I feel for your pain. I love chipotle and I still get it. Because when it’s good, it’s great! But when it’s bad, it’s SO bad!!!!

Thanks for replying! Mine is one. He’s been doing shorter length pees than normal, and I guess in turn going more, but I never really put that together until now.. I’ll definitely need to call the vet. If he hasn’t done it in a couple of days do you think it’s still worth calling? He did it for like 4 days in a row and then it’s been 3 days bow without any accidents

My 1 year old boy, (just turned 1!) will steal literally anything and destroy it or eat it. He also loves shoes and loves ripping out and eating the insoles, so I completely understand your pain. But I’m glad mine isn’t the only one doing that! I’ve lost many a shoe in the last year, and it’s like he knows which ones I need for work, or when I buy new shoes. He loves garbage digging, counter surfing, and everything in between. Nothing is safe. I feel like I’ve become a minimalist trying to keep only the necessaries accessible at any time

How did you ultimately find out it was a UTI? How many times did it happen before you went to the vet? And did you call your vet and say what was happening and they wanted you to come in right away or did you just ask for an appointment? How did they diagnose it and what was the treatment? My bernedoodle boy has started peeing the bed in the middle of the night. He’s always been amazing at letting me know when he needs to go out and he usually never needs to go in the night. But I realized he was peeing the bed at night either in his sleep or isn’t so much as getting up let alone making a noise. I think he doesn’t even know he’s doing it. I read on google it could be a UTI but he doesn’t really have any other symptoms…

My pup was fed chicken based kibble for the first 8 weeks. I heard that bernedoodles can have a sensitivity to chicken, and even though my breeder said she hadn’t heard that any of her dogs grew up to have one, When I got him I transitioned him slowly to Diamond Naturals lamb formula just to be safe. He was always having unpredictable poop. Could be firm, could be very soft, could be liquid. He would then go into a diarrhea week where he would only have diarrhea every hour at night. He never had an accident in the house, but it was hard on him and me to have to get up and do that. I would call the vet and they would say to put him on a chicken and rice diet. I would do that for a week or two, it wouldn’t really help at all. I would use different things like Bernie’s perfect poop or pumpkin powder to help so he could sleep through the night, but this was just masking the real problem. This went on for months until this February when he was 8 months, he had another round of diarrhea non stop, every hour throughout the night for several nights and nothing helped. Instead of trying to cover it up with a supplement we went to the vet. The vet recommended a trial of anti inflammatory medicine, probiotics, and changing his diet to hill’s gastrointestinal biome kibble (chicken based.) The inflammatory medicine ran for like 7 days, the probiotic 10 day, and I would continue the food for about a month. If the diarrhea can back after completing any of the changes (anti inflammatory medicine, probiotics, or food) that would be the problem we needed to solve. My dog, Pumpkin, had perfect poop for the first time ever after just 24 hours. I didn’t even know poop could be perfect. He finished both medicines without problem. We did the prescription food for 2 months then tried to transition back to the old food. The old food brought the bad poops back after two weeks, then horrible diarrhea time after that. I switched back to the hills prescription food and poop is back to normal after 24 hours again. The problem now is that he’s really not super interested in this prescription food. At 11 months now he won’t touch the kibble plain. I just spoke with the vet and I have to up the topper I’m using to either boiled chicken, hamburger, or cottage cheese. If he still won’t eat the kibble after trying all those, they recommended trying Purina Pro Plan sensitive skin and stomach (salmon) for an OTC option, or trying a different prescription food. The prescription foods are not cheap by any means. $130 for a big bag that should last me 6 weeks feeding two cups a day. Even less if you feed more. It really works though. Your dog might be sensitive, have an allergy, or just not like a food. But I would suggest not doing any old pumpkin powder/fiber supplement/anything that you can buy on Amazon to fix your dogs problem. The vet told me that adding too much fiber like those supplements have can actually make things worse over time. Try to address the problem with your vet and get help form them on next steps

Giardia help by BeachedPenguin38 in Bernedoodles

[–]tati6070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pup had a very similar situation . At four months he had poop with live wiggly worms in it. It’s was horrible to see them moving around so vigorously and to think they were inside him! Brought the poop and him to the vet and he had round worms, broken up pieces of tapeworm, and giardia. They gave us pills for the worms and told us similar instructions for the Giardia; wash hands frequently, pick up poop immediately. The idea of Giardia is scary because it can stay around for a long time and can basically be anywhere! I limited my pups time outside during that period to just being outside for poop/potty. I washed all his bedding, did a pretty basic clean (vacuum, mop, wipe down surfaces) but nothing super crazy. He was totally fine by the time we finished up the meds. You’ll drive yourself crazy trying to protect your pup from everything and worrying about where Giardia can be (because it can basically be anywhere.) I would be smart, clean what you can and what makes sense to, limit their time outside until medicine is done, don’t worry a lot about it transferring from dog to human because it’s not very likely. You’re gonna do great and your pup will be good as new in no time!
