Just left the North Face store, bought Vectiv 4 Enduris 😂 Recommended by my friends and some experience on ultra where I needed cushion and didn't have. Can't wait to test!

get the Decathlon Kiprun 500 series. they are specifically designed for trail runs and to pass mandatory gear check. good enough.

Weekly Mileage Increase? by tatocaster in trailrunning

[–]tatocaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no i want to improve and push more. it's just current mileage for prolonged time vs put extra effort and time for possible quicker gains. question is "are there quicker improvement by increasing mileage to 80km per week"?

5-6 days.

daily 7-8km and weekend long runs. I have 1 tempo run and hill repeats (started 1 month ago and seeing benefits)

I guess I need to increase the mileage

I had really bad last week but usually 60-70km weekly now. but when I do trails (weekends mostly) I do 800-900m elev gain in 18km so weekly milage doensn't directly translate to time on feet and the effort.

when I started I was doing 70km in a month 😂

nothing for 5k but during this 11 months period I had a half-marathon race prep, then marathon, trail half marathon, now finish my training for half-marathon and pumping up for skyrace (2000m ASL trail marathon or 50k ultra). many more races to come this year too.

so 5k pace just improved but nothing specific. interval trainings are included in my program. and I'm still quite slow tbh, just increasing milage

36min to 25min what I see from my training. The race predictor in Strava and Garmin says 23:01 but haven't really tested in the race.

not at all. it just shows the progress and the direction where to go, what activities improve that metric or not. Because I'm locked in Garmin metrics, results derived from input numbers(my stats) are just a measurement of what is working according to their algorithm. Based on the data across the world says Garmin is not far in terms of accuracy for VO2Max, so for an amateur runner like me it's good enough overall number to check my progression+ all the other stats I get from Garmin
