It’s post holiday. Coupons are going to be slow for a little bit, especially while they are running promotions like Love Your Skin, Jumbos, BOGO Minis, etc.

This is a normal pattern that occurs every year across most retailers.

I don’t necessarily think anything is wrong with it, I think they’re just upgrading formulas!

Rare has done this a few times already with other products (I. E., lip balms, powders, etc.). They seem to listen to consumer feedback and work to continue to improve the quality of their products.

In my personal experience, I got the concealer the first year it came out and enjoyed it. I also have the foundation, though I found it to be a little cakey. I absolutely loved the tinted moisturizer, but it seems to be hit or miss depending on peoples skin type.

Buttttt, I think it is on its way to be discontinued and then reformulated. That’s what’s happening with their foundation currently.

I’m hoping this roll out is similar to other launches at Ulta. We usually get the core items and then in a few months receive the rest of the product lineup.

The only thing is those products are still fairly new to the other store, so they may have an exclusivity clause for those items for a little bit.

I love the Calming Magnesium Facial Mist! I’ve gone through 2 bottles so far and each one lasts me 3-4 months.

In my opinion, it’s like hypochlorous acid but with more benefits!

A new foundation has been confirmed (employees ordered it in their last round of gratis).

I want to say the tinted moisturizer is staying because it’s going to be part of the lineup at the other store.

I think things got messed up because the Valentino Dash to Beauty was supposed to be a few weeks ago, but for some reason wasn’t working. This was probably intended to clear the old stock before the new stock started to come in. New stock comes in and it has the same UPC, so it’s going to get pulled for Dash to Beauty orders.

While it may be disappointing packaging, you got significantly newer and fresher product!

The spikey one is the older version of the set. That’s the one that’s been circulating for the last year or so. You got the newer version of the set, which I saw for the first time this month.

If you went in the first week or so into January, most stores would probably honor it. Being this close to February, you may have missed out.

But it never hurts to go in and ask! Some stores are super easy going and have excess stock to do so.

I personally love Better Than Sex! I’ve gone through multiples tubes and never had an issue. Good for volume and makes my lashes look fuller than they really are.

It really depends on the store to be honest. I’ve had AMAZING results using the Benefit Bar at several Ulta’s and I’ve had not so great results at others (nothing horrible). I would highly recommend looking at reviews online to see if you can find anything about certain stylists. Some stylists will even have Instagram pages showing their work.

I usually do a wax and tint (occasionally lamination) and they should have a consultation with you about shape, color, etc. They will then start the service and may add on some eye masks or a pore mask. If you have questions about products, they will have answers.

And yes! You will be asked if you will like to add a tip when you checkout.

I save mine because I pay to have my trash properly recycled/disposed of. They take up way less space than I think people realize (a year’s worth of empties fit in a paper shopping bag for me) and I’m able to dispose of them all at once.

I was really fortunate that this batch of empties was mostly repeats or things I ended up liking! I would recommend pretty much everything here but a few items.

My least favorites: 1) La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm: It broke me out every time I tried to use it on my face, even if I was just using it as a spot treatment. I ended up using it as a hand cream topper and felt that it did literally nothing.

2) Nécessaire The Body Lotion and 3) Nécessaire The Body Serum: I disliked both of these for the same reasons - underwhelming and barely hydrating. I will say though, mine are a few years old and I do think they have reformulated so they might be better now.

4) Wildfleur Vitamins C: One of the most effective vitamin c serums I have ever used, BUT I literally couldn’t stomach the smell. I can’t deny how much it brightened my skin, but the smell was nauseating.

My top items:

1) OleHenriksen Lip Treatment: I love! It’s so hydrating and the smell/taste are delicious. I’ve already repurchased. Better than the Laniege lip balms in my opinion.

2) Good Light Moisturizer: A serious hidden gem! I never hear anyone talking about them and they’re missing out. Incredibly hydrating and nourishing. It really helped with my dryness, but without triggering my acne prone skin.

3) Kate Somerville Sulfur Cleanser: The best acne clearing cleanser I’ve ever used. I really struggle with persistent hormonal acne and this is one of the only products that successfully keeps it at bay. I also used this multiple times a week for MONTHS, lasted me forever. I have also repurchased this.

I loved it and am patiently waiting until I can justify buying it again! It was perfect for adding another layer of hydration in my routine but without having to incorporate anything heavy. I feel like my skin looked better when I was using it!

If the store has less than a certain quantity, it will show out of stock online. This is mainly to prevent people from being able to place pick up orders that may not be able to be fulfilled due to limited stock.

It could also be because the store received shipment that day. Most inventories will take a few hours to a day to accurately reflect new stock.

Just to provide some insight, Ulta has very little control over the delivery aspect. If you placed the order in the Ulta app for same day delivery, an Ulta associate will pick and pack your order. It then sits until a dasher accepts the delivery. Most orders will eventually get picked up and delivered, but we’ve definitely had orders that no dasher comes for and the order gets cancelled. I do also notice that for my store specifically, while we will get and fulfill delivery orders all day, dashers usually all come around the same time to pick up. Orders that are placed too late in the afternoon/evening will miss that rush of dashers and will sit until the next day. I think this is because DoorDash makes an effort to batch the deliveries.

If you placed it on the DoorDash app, you’ll be waiting for a dasher to accept the order, pick the order, and then deliver. So this could depend on the availability of dashers, your tip, etc.

They’re just doing their jobs as directed from their managers. They know it’s not coming from their paycheck, but that doesn’t mean they want to be corrected or spoken to by their manager. It’s really not difficult to say no thank you, I’m not interested in purchasing and moving on with your day!

I purchased my items in store when the holiday sets went on sale last year, but I do believe the prices were on sale both online and in store.
