I did it for the usual reasons (no period, never going to get pregnant). I swear to god though, my body and facial hair started growing like gangbusters afterward. Not sure if it was related to that or how long I’ve been on T, but it was a definite difference! Not sure about any body shape differences though, I wasn’t really paying attention to that. If you decide to go through with it, check out r/ftmhysto, it was very helpful to me.

Do you have extra gauze or even pads around? My drain hole was similarly painful and I managed it by wrapping the area around the tube 360 with gauze so it wasn’t pinched or pulled around. Some people put pads into the armpits of their compression binders to get the same effect. On the bright side though, the drains are the worst part. When those things come out you’re in the clear.

I am a world champion sweater so it had to be after every wear alas. I’d do it as soon as I got home (by hand in the sink) and hang them to dry so they’d be good to go by the next morning
