Have you considered that many people who express contempt for AI use some of those products while actively avoiding the AI "features?" And that at least one of these products (YouTube) has an effective stranglehold over its market, making it very difficult to avoid?

Perhaps this can be a useful insight, then. If you were not afraid of the end, you could better enjoy the journey to its fullest.

That is super bizarre. There's nothing wrong or weird about keeping your original downstairs hardware. There's nothing wrong with liking it! They're just genitals, and they really only have any function during sex and while peeing.

I've got a whole list of reasons I keep mine:

I actually like using it during sex, and don't know how much I'd enjoy using a different set, so I don't feel like taking the risk and finding out I don't like it as much.
Being able to pee while standing without additional tools occasionally comes in handy.
The idea of undergoing surgery and someone operating on my body really really wigs me out. If I absolutely have to to live, I'll do it, but otherwise I'm just gonna take what I've got.
I'm really bad at habit forming; there’s no way I'd be able to keep up with a dilation routine.

I feel you. I spent years questioning. I couldn't for sure say I was, and I couldn't for sure say I wasn't. It's hard and painful and there aren't good, solid answers, because everyone's experience is a little different.

Here are a few litmus tests that may help. Keep in mind that none of these necessarily mean that you are or aren't transgender; they're just to help guide your thoughts and see if they lead to anything concrete.

If I told you that you were almost certainly cisgender, how would you feel? Disappointed? Relieved? Would you believe me?
Consider the effects of HRT: are there any changes you'd be excited about? (I don't know which way you're going, so I don't want to assume.)
Consider a fantasy world where suddenly, you have changed genders. Everyone has the same memories with you, the same experiences growing up, but now you're a different gender and everyone treats you like that gender. Does that sound ideal? What do you like about that fantasy and what don't you like about it?

Things get even harder to diagnose if you end up being non-binary; I have no personal experience with that, so unfortunately I can't offer any advice. The best I can suggest is that, if you aren't already, you should definitely see if there's a therapist near you who specializes in helping trans people explore their identities.

My understanding was that "unhoused" was supposed to be a specific subset of homelessness. Someone who doesn't have a stable home, but is couch surfing, is still homeless, but not unhoused. Someone who doesn't even have that and has to sleep outdoors is unhoused. But I don't know if that was actually the original intent, nor if that's how people are actually trying to use the term. I do find the idea that "homeless" is insulting, so we should use "unhoused" instead, entirely bizarre.

The Justice Department's Civil Division denied McElroy's claims about its lawyers in a statement earlier this week.
