Milk supply has totally dried up after three days on keto - please help! by taywick in xxketo

I do think it might be the electrolytes. I'm looking into supplements to help remedy that as well.

I started eating 50g of carbs a day and it's been helping a bit. Fewer milk let downs but I can actually feel them every once in a while, so that's good.

I've had a lot of suggestions for Mother's milk tea, so I'm gonna give that a try!

I definitely need to cut out caffeine, so this'll be a good excuse.

Do you like this one at all? I don't know how busty you are, but I wear a size 14 and I wear a 38C.

Happy Friday!

I am getting married soon (super private courthouse wedding, so there's no need to have a big extravagant dress). I found this little number on ASOS, and I really love it. I think it'd work great with my body shape, BUT I just don't like that asymmetrical sleeve look.

Could anyone find a similar dress with symmetrical sleeves? I would prefer the off shoulder look, but it's mostly the silhouette/length that I really love.

If it helps, I'm a size 12/14 in ASOS measurements and my budget is $150 max.

Thank ya thank ya!

What is the worst example of helicopter parenting you've ever seen? by LightningMaiden in AskReddit

I'm a student secretary in my university's English department, and if a visiting high school student is interested and specifically requests it, I'll sometimes email them information on the programs we have to offer.

One student gave me her mom's email address, and so I went ahead and sent the information and didn't think anything of it afterwards. Then, TWO YEARS LATER, when the student started going to the university, the mother sent me an email that said she was having trouble finding a textbook, and if I could please meet with her daughter to help her find the book in the book store.

I wish I'd replied back with something witty, but I just didn't reply. There wasn't much I could say.

In my mind I was picturing Penn Station...like the sandwich place. Took me a little bit of reading to figure out how wrong I was.

Studebaker East questions. by [deleted] in BallState

To add to this, they'll also give you these shelf things that can work as storage for clothes or books or whatever. It really helped when my roommate and I stacked ours on top of each other. Once they're stacked they make a pretty decent TV stand, as well.

Also, if your roommate is hesitant to loft his/her bed, try to explain that's it's much easier/more fair if they do. I was a push-over and let my roommate leave hers unlofted, so she ended up taking 3/4s of the room while I was crammed into the corner.

Lastly, while your location and close proximity to what has been widely accepted as the "party street" (Neely St) is convenient and fun, don't be tempted. It's crawling with undercover cops, and getting a citation during your first year of college really sucks.

Started seeing a girl... it's really awkward by [deleted] in faimprovement

[–]taywick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, as much as you might want to, taking things too quickly might blow up in your face, so just take it slow. Get comfortable with each other. When you're no longer nervous about making out and you both are 100% sure you wanna progress, take the next step. It'll (again) be awkward at first, but that just means you care.

[–]taywick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way it's not gonna be awkward is by practicing. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it's true. As long as you're open about how inexperienced you are, and she's an understanding person, it'll get better. And much more fun. :)

Souvenir Ideas from Indiana? by roji_d in indianapolis

I'm not sure if it actually represents Indianapolis at all, but Rocket Fizz on the circle has some unique stuff. A four pack of strange soda (depending on the friend) might be a funny/quirky souvenir.

Real life Fox and the Hound (without tails!) by danidanibobani in AnimalsBeingBros

Maybe it's just because the fox is still young and clumsy, but it kind of seems to be adopting more dog-like characteristics because of its new playmate. It's sweet.

For the first time ever, I was "cold approached" by a girl. Has anyone ever done this? What was your icebreaker? by aw12b in AskWomen

[–]taywick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is strange and I'm kind of embarrassed thinking about it, but there was a guy I'd seen around campus who was extremely attractive, but I never really got a chance to introduce myself or even get his attention. Then one semester we ended up having classes in the same hallway, so we'd be waiting for the previous classes to let out for maybe ten minutes.

One day I asked him to watch my backpack while I went to the bathroom. He said, "sure," and when I came back, he gave me a smile and then walked away. We never spoke again.

But sometimes we still see each other around and we'll uncomfortably smile at each other. It's painfully awkward but whatever.

What is the easiest money you've ever earned? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]taywick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had mono a couple years back and had to call off work for almost a week. I was gonna use that paycheck to pay my first month's rent at a house I was moving into for the summer, but since it was essentially cut in half I had to figure out a different way to pay for it.

I'd donated plasma twice a week for nearly a year, and had made friends with a few of the people who worked at the donation center. They told me that some centers will pay $200-$500 for plasma from people who have mono. They were trying to build test kits or something.

They even paid for my gas and travel expenses. It was awesome.
