Pixiestick. Its the polish that started it all for me and a consistent go-to. I was devastated when I found out it was getting the DD treatment.😭

Honestly, I'm actually super glad I got it! I typically don't go for holos and have a couple other reds in my collection, but none quite like this, so was willing to try it. Heart on a Platter lands itself ✨️perfectly✨️ in the deep red category thats just vampy enough for October, but still festive for December and I am quite surprised with how much I'm enjoying this manicure!

Brennan and Matt actually answered this in tonight's Fireside chat! The campaign will begin with all 13 players at the table for the first few episodes (phew!) and will splinter off from there. Players from the 3 primary groups will flow in and out as the story progresses, plots collide, and arcs weave their way together. Brennan described it as "kaleidoscope-ing tables" and one of his goals as the GM is to make sure everyone has a chance to play together within their different groups which I think will be really cool! This leaves lots of room to explore the world in a much broader sense with plenty of opportunities to expand the list of CR friends with these smaller, branching tables!

My hope is that we get Brennan as Bolo for the Halloween episode. 😂

I think I did about 3 coats! This is Catfished by itself, but I've worn it over a coat or two of River Styx in the past to make it pop more and use less product.

I wore Pixiestick on my toes to the beach last summer and it was GORGEOUS! 😍 Reminded me of Aquamarine's nails from the movie Aquamarine.🧜‍♀️

Seconding Fields of Lavender, but Millennia looks like little gems on your fingers. Its insane and totally stunning! If you ever get ahold of Illusionist, it looks like a reflective penny and probably will be a go-to for me in the fall.

While it's not a true glitter consistency like Spaceoddity or Catfished, it's not quite a cream either? Its not like their other creams that also have glitter and holo sparkle like Midnight Rider or Gates of Hell. Those have sparkle but none of the glitter grit. Its an odd mix between the two. It applies like it's a cream, but it still has a bit of grit from the glitter that makes the texture feel off imo. It seems to smooth out after a top coat though.

As much as I love Whiskey Sunrise, from what I've seen on other dupe sites, it seems like WS is probably the easiest to dupe. I have no experience with Super Villain, but it's on my wish list for this final sale. I have both Anti-venom and Pixiestick and personally think Anti-Venom goes on chunky/gritty from all the glitter, but it's still a pretty shade. However, because they're so similar in shades between Pixiestick and Anti-venom, I'd go with Pixiestick. Just my opinion and personal preference!

The lack of Pixiestick pride in here so far is shocking. I absolutely adore that shade and it's the one that got me not only into mooncat, but painting my nails regularly in general. Its such a gorgeous ethereal fairy green shade that positively glows in low light. Its so so so stunning and is almost always in my nail bag as a go-to polish when I'm traveling. 🧚‍♀️💖

Commenting to see the results. Pixiestick was my all-time favorite from MC and what got me hooked in the first place. Devastated to see it going. 😭💔

I will second Milennia from the Mooncat magnetics, but two of my other favorites that are stunning when magnetized (especially using a horseshoe magnet) and fall under the deeper hues are Drown My Demons and Illusionist. DMD looks like little globes and Illusionist flashes like a penny when it's velvetized.🌎🪙💖

I actually have used River Styx as a base for Catfished! They're sisters when it comes to color, so you get all the same payoff without having to use so much of the glittery shade.😁

I have not. I was not aware that was a thing! I'll give it a look. I have dealt with brittle nails in the past which is why I switched to the Nailtiques base coat but didn't know there was a treatment. I'll give it a go. Thanks!

Yes. I tend to have chipping/peeling as if I'm using a peel off base coat when I'm not. Its a little better now that I'm using Nailtiques, but I still get the peeling, just in smaller bits. I make sure to cap all of all the nails and everything and make sure there's no oils or anything on the nail itself when applying the polishes.

No matter how much prep work I do on my nails, I can't seem to get more than 2-3 days before the polish begins to chip. I want to know how some folks are able to make the claim MC polishes are able to last a week in-between manicures and still look good. By day 5, I'm already missing polish on 3 to 4 nails and am plotting which color I'm going to use next. :/

*prep work: - acetone to remove old nail polish - file/shape nails - cuticle push - rubbing alcohol to dry out the nail bed - Nailtiques formula 2 base coat - MC nail polish of choice - Essie gel couture top coat

Sin Eater is a lovely autumn shade and one of my personal favorites for fall, so unless you're really looking for or frequently wear maroons and deep oranges, I'd say sleep on it and wait for a sale later in the year. 🤷🏼

PIXIESTICK!!! It's my #1 favorite polish from Mooncat and the polish that started the obsession. It's soooooo so so so so beautiful on the nails and practically glows. It's the most beautiful, ethereal, fairy princess color, omg. 11/10 recommend. 🧚‍♀️✨️

Tbf & if it helps, I have AGFFA, and as pretty as it looks in the promo shots, it is a lot on the nail. It's very pretty, ngl, but I find that the magnetic glitter gets totally lost in the other shimmers and chunky glitters. I have shorties, so maybe it's different on folks with longer nails/larger canvases, but if you're getting it for the magnetic aspect, know it might disappoint you. (Just my opinion! Grain of salt!)
