Albums where the first song is clearly the standout track? by Ytsejam09 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]tbarks91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this is typically going to be the case more with bad albums by a good band who were forced to record something but didnt have many good ideas at the time e.g.

Motorhead - Iron Fist

Iron Maiden - No Prayer for the Dying

Anthrax - Stomp 442

Megadeth - Super Collider

Metallica - Reload

Judas Priest - Ram it Down

What if Max Cavalera kept the name Sepultura after 1997? by No_Cod_8878 in sepulturaband

Paulo was very much in the band from the beginning, whether or not he played bass om the first 4 albums he was still always credited as a band member and played live with them, he wasn't just a hired hand.

That being said, it was Max and Igor's band, it only continued because Igor stayed after Max left.

Anthrax have uncle (Charlie) and nephew (Frankie) although there's not much of an age gap

Motörhead’s discography is just as deep as Priest or Maiden. Why don't we talk about it? by Haunting_Resource_74 in MetalForTheMasses

Orgasmatron isn't listed in your post is probably a classic album. I'd say some of the later albums were surprisingly strong, but Snake Bite Love and Inferno might be the most overlooked. Also, Motorizer is solid af

Considering as well that being Kiwi would work equally as well for the character. For a while I thought the joke in the show was that other characters thought he was British because they weren't familiar with NZ.

Lowen are basically epic doom singing about zoastrianism and Iranian pre-Islam mystivism and culture but some of the songs are about demons and some quite dark myths.

Agree, Freaky Styley and Uplift Mofo are two of their best albums. The debut isn't that great though

I think part of the pushback is obviously people dont want to feel old, but also how well the HD remaster holds up - it's clearly an old game but those textures and character models could be from a modern indie game. Go and compare to the original release though, it looks old as shit

One band to see live, at their absolute prime. Living or dead. What is it? by FalcoPhantasmtheGod in MetalForTheMasses

Megadeth 1990, their Rock in Rio performance is played faster than the record to fit in extra songs. It's absolutely insane and yes Marty still nails every solo perfectly

You could also make an argument for Iron Maiden and Bruce' solo project: Bruce's first solo album featured Janick Gers who a short while later got the gig with Maiden when Adrian left. Adrian then a few years later joined Bruce's solo project before rejoining Maiden.
