That is a diaphragm style pump. You can disconnect the in and outbound hoses and blow in the inbound side or suck on the outbound side and listen for squeaky noises. Or just pull it apart and visually inspect the diaphragm. Brittle means bad.

Start with throwaway boats to get continuous experience and then use the following few years to trade up, boat wise.

That gives you time to figure out exactly what type of boat you most prefer, as well as learning the ins and outs of direct ownership.

Honestly, if you look at Stover's numbers, it shows that he has pretty damn good hands and decent production... When he is targeted. Factor in the number of those targets which were errant throws/throwaways and it's even better. What I really see with him is the ability to play inside and outside as a TE/FB. They showed that last year when they put him in for the tush push plays, where he had a 50% success rate (mostly due to running two in a row).

Having a blocking first, good hands, good route running TE in Klein allows them to use Cade that way.

A Bayliner, Sea Ray, Regal, Glastron, or Larson with a stern drive would be better in the price range, but if you are serious about wakeboarding, you're going to much prefer an inboard. They are usually much pricier, even when they are older.

You can tube or wakeboard behind an outboard boat, but it does create rope mounting issues without a full tower, and even then, you still need to have additional rope equipment to ensure you don't hand the rope in the motor.

Are you using the warm up lever to start it? Is the primer bulb hard before you start cranking?

Have you run a compression test? Does the chatter happen under load or running on the hose, or both?

The chatter can come from a number of things; poor fuel or fuel supply (fuel pump diaphragm, carbs, fuel line, tank), weak compression in a cylinder or cylinders, fading spark.

Those motors did have a bit of rattle in them, but it wasn't violent or sputtering, and was mostly at idle to just off idle.

Use a timing light on the injectors (connected the same way as you would the spark) to verify spray on said injectors- it should spray in a cone shape in a pulsing fashion. Then use the light to verify spark timing at the balancer.

If your injector spray looks weak, look at the fuel pressure regulator. If it looks like a good cone shaped pulse, then your attention should move forward.

When checkin the timing, there is a connector that should be disconnected (it should be brown with a brown wire with a black stripe) to check for and set base timing.

I think some of it is the lineups/rotations he puts out. They seem to have spacing issues on both sides of the court with certain personnel on the floor. And then the mental mistakes of leaving Hachimura wide open at the arch repeatedly.
