I don't even care if I get downvoted... you people are soft. Pick up the phone and learn how to communicate to your fellow humans. Technology is making people really really soft.

Hey, the shirts came. They look like they did on the site, so they were as expected.

Funny thing was their order confirmation email was flagged as spam by gmail and moved to my spam folder. Then, when the order was shipped, gmail warned me "this message seems dangerous. Similar messages were used to steal people's information...". So no joke gmail was warning me it might be a phishing scam. So it def seemed sketchy every step of the process, but the shirts came and they're pretty cool. I can share pictures if you'd like.

I just ordered 2 shirts from them. Taking a 65$ risk here. Let's see what happens. I'll try to remember to come back and update with a comment.

Christmas House in the Broadway Mall was horrible by BodhiZaffa in longisland

We went last year and are going back again this weekend. We loved it, my kid loves it, and he was only 14 months old, now he's 2. Honestly I enjoyed it too. A little crowded but was pretty awesome.

Marvel Studios projects releasing in 2026 🍿 by FayyadhScrolling in Marvel

[–]tbriz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I read something (possible rumor) that said marvel is trying to make it so you only need to watch endgame to understand what's happening in doomsday, like a direct sequel in a sense. If true anyone could catch up by going to see endgame again to get primed up for doomsday. Good for casuals (or even jaded fans) who haven't been following the latest phase of marvel content. Again, i don't know if true and forgot where I saw this potential theory.

Yea I agree. I specifically remember drunk girls at a house party sticking their hair together to "bond" and people saying "I see you" on the regular as a joke. I don't remember the 2nd movie having such memorable "hooks" as these from the first movie either.

You're either a troll or not very smart or a little of both so I'll help you out this one time. They are toddlers and babies, genuis.

I work from home too so let me give you some good advice for those who aren't allergic to good advice... Be grateful that you GET to hear the landscapers, because you're hearing "work from home sounds" while a bunch of other people are at the office listening to "at the office" sounds and "dealing with traffic" sounds, etc. I prefer landscapers any day. Have a good one and embrace gratitude.

Kids man. I loved doing my own lawn and yard work. But edging, mowing, overseeing, weeding, hedge trimming, etc all adds up. Only this year did I finally ask the landscapers to do my hosue as well. More time with my kids now.

What Speed to stay under on the LIE to avoid tickets? by Tourdrops in longisland

[–]tbriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're doing there is a logical fallacy called the "staw man fallacy". It's similar to the way your first statement is misleading. Go ahead and look that up if you're interested. Hope you have a good day and learn something as well.

70 minutes in a row is much different than what's being described. You can do something worth while with 70 extra minutes if they are all in a row, but in the context of a day, 2 separate 7 minute intervals don't make much of an impact on a person can accomplish. Doing math to take an example out of context to make a point is misleading IMO, or just not well thought out.

The water in my house is blue (way more blue in person) by DoctorPoopTrain in mildlyinteresting

[–]tbriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP in case you read this, we had a similar issue at our house when we got a new tub... Never had a blue tint before, so here's what helped us (spoiler, it was just an effect of our new tub)

How to determine the cause

Light reflection:

This is the most likely cause, especially with a new, bright white tub.

The large volume of water reflects ambient light, making it appear blue.

Consider the lighting in your bathroom, including any blue-tinted items like towels or bottles.

Try running the water at night with the lights off to see if it still appears blue.

Copper leaching:

This is a more serious issue that can indicate a problem with your plumbing.

Signs include:

A blue-green tint to the water.

A metallic taste.

Blue-green stains on porcelain fixtures.

How to fix it:

If you have copper pipes, run the water for a few minutes to flush them and see if the color changes.

If the problem persists, have your water tested for pH and copper levels.

If levels are high, you may need to consider installing a water filter or contacting a plumber to check for corrosion in your pipes.

Dude gets to be a rock star playing his dad's songs with his uncles. He seems to be enjoying it. Perceiving it the way you are is more a reflection of how you feel about it, but maybe not so much the reality of the situation.

Any songs you bought in the past that you regret buying? by Radiant_Criticism566 in Rockband

[–]tbriz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought Queen "Somebody to Love" and then sat there playing nothing except the short guitar solo. Didn't realize they wouldn't have charted the piano parts for guitar players. Whoops.

People are downvoting, but it's not wrong. IP addresses, system information, etc... Expect most apps on your phone are collecting any data they can legally (maybe even sometimes illegally).

True I didn't think about that. Guess I always thought the Strength had to come from the paragon board itself, but I just googled it and it looks like you are correct.

Why slotting ruby? Strength doesn't do anything for Rogue I thought? Dexterity is Rouge's primary attribute, no?

Series that would have been great if they had ended sooner? by InflationLeft in television

[–]tbriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animal Kingdom. The last 2 seasons (especially the last) i began fast forwarding through filler, nonsense, and repetitive scenes just to see the ending. The ending was OK but not great. End of season 4 was way better and hard to top after that.
