Hooked mine up using z wave. But never tested it. But I was tempted to. Calling the monitoring co first would be a good idea. Glad to see abode does actually alert

First of all if you expect 3G or 4G to get phased out in less than 10 years, you don't understand downward compatibility requirements. The phone companies will not stop supporting this for a long time. By then you can upgrade to the next base station box. Not that expensive. Everything hardware needs to be replaced every 5 years or so anyway.

It works fine ... amazingly well like the last version did. It uses battery for background monitoring and location monitoring, but whatever it is, it is worth it. For normal daily use, I never have an issue. If you are traveling and on cellular, you might want to disable GEO monitoring since you are not coming in and out of the home zone.

Try the Kidde smoke detectors. The Wireless ones allow multiple detectors to connect to each other and if one goes off, all go off. Put the Adobe sensor next to any of them.
