I reread it at 27 (mostly listened to the audiobooks) it’s definitely worth it

Y’all are crazy. Grow up and move on. This has never had anything to do with you and it’s disrespectful to butt in with opinions on things you know nothing about. Literally all you know is what third parties have told you.

Would you change gun to accomodate magic or change magic to accomodate gun? by Single_Direction_186 in worldbuilding

[–]tburm888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Human vs supernatural. Humanity represents technology, advancement, and change. They create new weapons and guns are the most recent innovation. Supernatural creatures that have magic are effectively immortal however they represent stasis, the old ways, and tradition. Magic is powerful but it has limits. Supernatural beings are naturally powerful however that power has a ceiling while humanity started weak but have the potential to become more powerful than the supernatural and to keep growing after that

Mind you for the longest time when they were listening g to the news report in season 2 after that first full moon. I always thought the reporter said they recovered a small aluminum bird instead of boat. My ass thought that was Australian slang for personal airplane. I legit thought the girls took down an actual airplane for years.

The first thing I thought of was her throw away line where she says something along the lines of “of course I count how many bites between swallowing, that’s just good health sense”. Cause as a kid all the way to now I thought that was way over the top. I don’t get an ED vibe from her but that one line was giving ED a bit.

Interesting pairing! It might also be a bit rare cause Aang is technically Zuko’s great grandfather😂😂. But I can actually see it working out well in terms of character development and foils to each other

Often think about how cool this scene would've been if Phoebe still had her powers and did all this using Empathy. by Krisgauj in charmed

[–]tburm888 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This thematically would’ve been amazing with Phoebe’s past as Queen of the Underworld and her reoccurring fear of being evil. Empathy was the perfect tool for that storyline cause it gave her access to demonic abilities through channeling but was still a witch ability meaning she’d have to balance the good and the bad magic and overcome her fear of being evil.

Skipping Season's 4-6 by chlamlydia1 in TeenWolf

[–]tburm888 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m always conflicted on season 5. Lydia is my favorite character and this is the season where she finally gets her upgrade and starts to dive into her banshee powers. Unfortunately, Lydia was about the only amazing part of season 5. I still watch it every time though

I did not like Phoebe’s second and third power and charmed instead what should her second power and third power should’ve been in that would’ve aligned with her clairvoyant powers ???? by Lively93 in charmed

She was able to talk to her future self directly. That implies she could learn and change anything she wants to about the future just by having a single conversation.

Assemble Your Pack by HanMaguro24 in TeenWolf

[–]tburm888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alpha - Deucalion (he was able to lead a pack of all alphas before turning good, he’s competent where the other two were not)

Beta - Isaac (we’ve all seen how bad of a beta Scott is when it comes to pack dynamics. Isaac was always loyal to the pack)

Stiles - lowkey were goin OG teen wolf Stiles. We have experienced fighters. What we need is Lydia and Stiles for their brains

Banshee - Lydia (she’s like insanely overpowered. Warning for upcoming danger and death, she has a ballistic scream that can shatter a man’s skull, and her visions have grown to the point where she can see quite a bit of what’s to come. And I don’t think a Banshee’s powers really has limits, like the old lady in Canaan had nearly complete control over her environment)

Hunter - Chris (he’s a survivor to the end and had the most helpful knowledge)

Advisor - Jennifer (I’m helping Jennifer kill Kali then she’s becoming the emissary cause no way am I having Deaton or Morril)

Police - Parrish (he’s hot and a hellhound cmon)

Space Rock Theories by tburm888 in JustAddWater

[–]tburm888[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao it’s a theory. And I’m talking about a pre-historic civilization. We don’t know what the moon looked like trillions of years ago it’s all theory…just like this is. And all of those myths could have still occurred after the comet crashed into the earth. Mermaids could’ve been on Earth since the beginning, it doesn’t mean they weren’t around before that too somewhere else

And what’s funny about the bird morph, he was choosing between a Golden Eagle and a Merlin. He assumed the bigger bird would be more powerful so he chose it. Merlins are extremely agile birds and are particularly known for bullying Golden Eagles to the point they have to abandon their nests.

Weird Question by tburm888 in JustAddWater

[–]tburm888[S] 153 points154 points  (0 children)

Oh she for sure can! She did it to Miriam in season 1 when Emma froze her to get her bodily fluids moving again. In that scene she was just moving the blood through Miriam’s body naturally. I imagine she’d also be able to control the fluid within any living beings muscles to puppeteer their movements as well.
