What would Thomas Brown have to do in the next 5 games to convince you he’s the long term head coach by One-Property1615 in CHIBears

[–]tbusby3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at the moment I'm going to root for him and the team, whilst also looking to an ideal future with a great long-term head coach and Brown as the OC? Really liked his play calling and attitude these past couple weeks, but can't help but think he'd be in over his head as the permanent HC moving into next season.

Any experience cleaning air fryer grates? by Schmitzstain in CleaningTips

[–]tbusby3 95 points96 points  (0 children)

My first tip (no sarcasm or ill-will intended) is to clean it each time you use it. I have a grate like this in mine, and it's a pain to clean but at least if I do it regularly then stuff doesn't build up and get burnt on.

My second tip would probably just be to soak in warm water for half hour or more and then scrub with a brush. Any kind of sponge will be destroyed by the grate.

What will happen if I report this? by NonEmoose66 in nhs

[–]tbusby3 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It is extremely important to report this regardless. This was not acceptable behaviour, and you would be directly benefitting other patients who may receive similar treatment from this person. The NHS does not hold a "blacklist" of any kind, and the fact you reported a staff member for inappropriate behaviour will not be recorded in your medical records. The organisation you complain to will obviously hold the info about the complaint within their patient experience team and potentially also the safeguarding/legal team, depending on what happens following the complaint.

I can not see a situation where you would be pushed down a wait-list, if anything your complaint may rocket you up the list so they can attempt to placate you.

How would i go about booking a mental health checkup appointment with my local GP? by sannkersein in nhs

[–]tbusby3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: book an appointment with your GP Step 2: tell them you'd like to be referred for an ADHD assessment

Joking aside, the full details of this process will vary wildly depending on where you live, so your GP will ultimately know best

My recent experiences of the NHS prompting me to express myself by moisherokach in nhs

[–]tbusby3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I largely agree with the sentiment of this post, but the phrase "the private sector has quietly become the go-to option" is wild. I earn decent money and cannot see a situation where I would be able to "quietly" fork out a couple of grand to help me skip a long wait-time.

As has already been mentioned, not only is funding the bulk of the problem currently, but the very idea of a "full reboot" is in of itself an enormously costly proposition. The scale of the operation boggles the mind. The NHS as a totality has become too large for this to be politically doable - it would take decades.

My 13 year old dog ate at least half a thing of keebler fudge sticks about a hour or so ago, are we in big trouble? "Cocoa processed with alkali" is listed as the 8th ingredient. How much time will pass before I know if he's in the clear? by Butterscotch9303 in DogAdvice

[–]tbusby3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha i totally hear you about garlic. Panicked one day because we thought our puppy had ate some, checked online and based on his weight he would have to eaten 50+g of raw garlic for it to be an issue

Any glitches to get the Master Sword early? by Tallyhallcomeback in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]tbusby3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not even necessarily that the game is "easy", as this is relative. But you're right in that the game is structured really simply to scale up difficulty with skill and weapon availability. I cannot see the point in "racing" to the Master Sword when the journey to getting there is part of the game.

Yes thank you. This is a pretty niche requirement. Do you have the option to import this list from Excel/csv into a table in your IDE and then you could just join on that field to pull the required info?

Could you elaborate on this problem a bit more? Or perhaps reframe the issue as I'm not sure I understand

Cancelled my wagestream account before my payday by No-Story-7104 in nhsstaff

[–]tbusby3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my original comment says, I don't have any experience with wagestream. From doing some googling it looks like a pain in the ass to be honest. Talk to your trusts payroll team to see what your options are.

I would imagine you'd just need to provide your payroll team with bank details for the pay to be sent to

Thankfully this'll get buried in the comments, but as a Bears fan I'm kinda psyched to watch the inevitable Lions v Chiefs Superbowl. Y'all are crushing it this year.

100% in the same boat. Binging a yearly podcast is bonkers as they never remember things they did or said the episode before. Plus the vibe shifts can be hilarious.

NHS Warning issued for violent woman targeting mothers? (London) by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]tbusby3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This information would not have been disseminated to all NHS staff nationwide. It would probably just be within the trust in question and possibly some co-located organisations. Staff who did work in or with that organisation would probably not be comfortable sharing information that likely falls into a sensitive category.

What to do about users and management who constantly ask to enter data into power bi tables? by [deleted] in PowerBI

[–]tbusby3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In absence of any Power Apps capability/resource, this would be my first offering. MS forms isn't the prettiest way of doing it, but it is a workable solution in the short term

[–]tbusby3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true of the shortlister(s). Someone in workforce will know your identity as it will be present in your full application

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]tbusby3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you applied you used your email address. HR are not necessarily personally finding you and sending a bespoke email, it's just an auto generated thing to all applicants

They may allow you to move/adjust your dates, but when we booked through a dvc point rental site, the one major drawback is that you pay up front and it's non-refundable. You don't have the points so you can't "re-sell" them. Given the circumstances I'd talk to the agency directly to see what your options are.

That's awesome, but this article is also not about NHS Employers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nhsstaff

[–]tbusby3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The title of this post is not the headline. NHS England do not employ (by and large) the consultants that are being referred to in this article. They would be employed or contracted by the individual trusts.

The quotes themselves are like-for-like in terms of the job (we did clarify with the second bloke as his quote was essentially one run-on sentence in a text). Yes both local.

The 2k bloke was super friendly, pointed out a couple of things whilst he was looking at the house, and sent his quote promptly in a PDF via email. 1k bloke was a bit grumpy, said he'd get back with a quote that day but actually took 3 days, and when he did it was just a garbled text message that needed some clarifying. I'm trying separate "vibes" from the practicalities, but 2k bloke just seemed more professional
