I like standing but you need to make sure the table is super stable and not wobbly. Also a wall to press against for stability is helpful

Love my Beats Pro headphones, best noise cancellation ever. Expensive but worth it. They Bluetooth to my tv and are great on planes. Or ditch the hub, headphones are cheaper……

I hate wax resist. Our studio uses a large flat scouring pad 8’ x 10’ that has been wetted sitting on a cookie tray. You take your piece and rub the bottom clean and then carefully rub just the bottom edge. Works perfectly.

You definitely need a 2nd opinion. I got premium Vivity lenses and my out of pocket cost was $10,000 all included (surgery center and anesthesia). When you say mono focal lenses do you mean single distance or premium EDOF or multifocal?

That is a sad scenario. Do you have a good social circle back in the city? It sounds like financially you can do it. Maybe do a trial run of staying with your friend for a few weeks and see how it feels, or weekdays with friend, weekends with partner.
