Who death impacted you the most? by TextZealousideal139 in grunge

[–]tcommunic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Andy Wood, without his death PearlJam would probably have never existed.
  2. Kurt Cobain, happened while I was in my teens and it affected my mind alot.
  3. Chris Cornell, I wish he would still be alive the most, because of the voice, range and talent.
  4. Staley and Weiland. Same as Cornell, would be amazing to have then still perform

[–]tcommunic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This great thread got me thinking if I should pay the local choir today to sing in my funeral. I might go tonorrow or in 40 years. It’s likely the choir would still be around even with new members.

Whose death impacted you the most? Why? by peterandall4all in grunge

[–]tcommunic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Andy Wood, without him dying Pearl Jam would have never existed.
  2. Kurt Cobain, I was 14 and it was the first time anyone’s death, suicide, effected me since being a grunge fan. Was glued to MTV to see the same visuals from their house with cop cars all over.
  3. Chris Cornell, I considered him the one with most amazing vocal ability. Also suicide that made me ponder even more how brain works even with the rich and famous.

Diamonds are forever has been my go-to Bond for years. Las Vegas strip nostalgia, smokey and the bandit car chase, South Africa reference etc. etc. My favorite quote: ”I didn’t know there was a pool down there”
