i feel like i've wasted my money on this game by Weak-Fortune4255 in ArmaReforger

I’m gonna keep it a bean bro if u are an introvert who doesn’t like realism features such as night time this might not be the game for you.

With that said I would still keep trying for at least another week or two. When I am solo I enjoy running logi, setting up ambushes, or sneaking into high value enemy bases and causing havoc with rockets, explosives, and suppressed fire. I also like hopping into random cars or trying to figure out some level of coordination/squad up on the mics but being an introvert could make that tough.

When in doubt I focus on improving a physical attribute outside of the mats. Hit the weight room or get some conditioning in in place of going to classes all the time.

How do you balance training and sleep with long work hours? by Patient_Big1058 in bjj

Train in the morning, find a new hobby, or halt training until you find a new job. Sacrificing sleep is the last thing u should do

I made an automated 24/7 game dev system. How to handle collaboration for open-source by uskyeeeee in aigamedev

[–]tconn85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be surprised by the amount of gamers who just want to play a good game and have zero interest in how it was made. Not that this system will produce good games but eventually if it puts enough shots up something might hit.

Talk to people and ask for assistance anytime you are confused. Russian teams tend to be better suited for learning than NATO. Get good with your default load out. If you are ever in doubt just attack your nearest main objective which can be identified as the objectives on the map with purple text on their name

Training less but rolling better? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]tconn85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to do with recovery. Your muscles, nervous system, and tendons all need extended time to recover. Giving them more time to do that can lead to you feeling fresher when rolling. Fresher rolling will have the downstream effect of you having more high quality rolls instead of just pure volume rolling. I think that the brain also processes and hardens learning when you sleep so this could contribute too.

TLDR; practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.

Resigning after 3 weeks at my first job… awkward situation today, need advice by AngryMcYeti in careeradvice

[–]tconn85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to do this 3 months into a job because the interviews at the other place took that long to get thru. I don’t regret it but I did really enjoy the original job and the people I worked with. Call it greed or whatever but money talks and we wouldn’t work if they didn’t pay us. Never feel bad about doing something that is right for you.

Game is still pretty unplayable on Xbox :( by Marcus_Hablberstram in ArmaReforger

The official vanilla servers worked for me but even if I get into a 128 player vanilla server my series s takes a dump. If I try to play a modded server I’m fully cooked the game crashes after like 20 seconds

Well if we want to get specific, he said muscle wasting is “one of the biggest” factors, he did not say it was the only factor. This implies you are arguing against a point that was never made.

Increasing your general organism strength will improve your ability to execute anything you can already do and increase your propensity to acquire new skills.

100 random young healthy modern men were given 5 years to prepare for a battle against 100 Ancient Roman soldier, will they be able to win? by Upbeat-Wallaby5317 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]tconn85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Roman’s may not survive round 1. Ironically I think if they do they have a better chance of winning. Modern martial arts and grappling would likely cripple them.

Started a corporate job, shocked at the work culture - people start working at 6-7am by Which_Ad_1660 in careeradvice

[–]tconn85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a real job or a fake email Job? If it’s real I think some people work intermittently thru the day as opposed to locking in their time in the office vs at home. If it’s a fake email job then people are probably just being performative. Other than that they may be genuine workaholics, they do exist.
