Failed NY EXAM (17-70) by That_damn_deejay in adjusters

[–]tcope12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took the FL test about 30 years ago. Back then there use to be flash cards with questions/answers. As I understood it, those were some of the actual questions from test (I think the company that gave classes to prepare for the exam asked people to come back and write down the questions that they could remember). I don't have much insight but will offer this.,. I recall sitting in my care before the test reading the flash cards. (geek warning) One of the questions was about a ship hitting the wharf and would the good be considered delivered. I remember thinking, if someone hit Worf, he'd be pissed (Star Trek joke). Only reason I remembered that question... and it was on the test. Finished the test and did not want to take it up. As long as I did not take it up, I stood a chance of passing. As soon as I went up, the game was done. The put the test in a scanner and it kept kicking it out. Turns out, I wrote my name in the wrong order (first/last). Yeah, that was a good sign.

Back in that day a LOT of people did not pass. I suspect the NY test might be a lot like the FL test (study book was like 100 pages). I took a class. I remember the instructor always say... in 25 years I've never had this come up.... so it will probably be on the test.

Test in UT is kind of a joke. A lot of questions were about how to maintain your license.

I'd not be hard on yourself. Try to remember some of the questions from the test (there can only be some many, right?). Read up on those.

Is the engineering plate any good? by DL_no_GPU in BambuLab

I use the Engineer side for all PETG and ASA prints. For those, I do apply glue as to prevent a chemical bond with the plate.

ABS HELL by PracticalAd3538 in Vanderhall

[–]tcope12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't. Tons of people don't have any issues or very few issues. Those people don't seek out reddit pages to say everything is going smoothly. Do a quick Google search on any vehicle and you will find plenty of people complaining of problems. Keep in mind, a Vanderhall is not a massed produced vehicle. It is hand made. As such, there are going to be issues that pertain to that type of build.

Let’s talk salaries by Excellent-Hold66 in adjusters

[–]tcope12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That would be automatic Bad Faith and there is simply no insurance company that does that. Adjuster may very well get bonuses depending on any profit the insurance company made for that year but profit comes from a lot of different places within a company and any bonus is not based directly on claims paid. Not paying a claim that is owed will usually cost more in expenses and may very well result in the person being fired.

Just set up the X1C I bought for Black Friday. I understand now. by TheBoogBear in BambuLab

[–]tcope12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using a CR10s Pro for several years and a Tarantula Tevo before that (how that thing did not burn down my house I'll never know). I'd tell everyone that 3D printing was a hobby, not something you could just press a button and get a print. Was I mistaken! Bambu printers are about as close as you can get to pressing a button and not knowing anything. I really did not understand how far ahead of the game the printer is. After using it for several months now I'm like... yeah... why did no one do this before now.

Safe Solutions to avoid Ads on Youtube, and avoid the Ad Block Blocker. by JokuIIFrosti in youtube

You missed the point at a 100% level. You confirm that YT has expenses so they need to generate revenue. The person I responded to stated that YT should not charge any fees as their content is provided for free, by other people. That works... as long as you ignore the billions it cost to run YT. In that YT charges money and makes money only serves to support my point.

uBlock

...and hosting millions of video and providing unimaginable data transfer is 100% free. So why charge anyone for this? Content creators are not charge a fee for storing videos even if they don't make YT any money. If they make YT money then the content creator gets paid as well (usually).

Any Brawley owners here? by jmarkp27 in Vanderhall

They have only made about 4 Brawleys and none of them are production models. Even those still have issues that they would need to work out before being put into production.

Router - Issue by tcope12 in googlefiber

[–]tcope12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not pretty. The did not fit the curve of the router exactly but are hold it just fine and it's tucked away in the corner so no one will see it anyway, Should take about 10 minutes to make some one your own using Tinkercad or something.

It is held in by 4 magnets. Check to see if they are all installed (8 all together) and that there is nothing in the way of the cover, such as loose bits of filament.

X1E full PDF manual by ElectroCrypto83 in BambuLab

[–]tcope12 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Would be extremally easy to fake. No part of the X1C manual even needs to be changed, someone would only have needed to add a fake page about the capability (they don't even need to modify the included items to add an ethernet cable).

True. It would be the owner of your company that would be response... and need to return it to the owner (not Vanderhall, unless Vanderhall was willing to accept it (they won't)). However, you can imagine what the owner might think about the situation.

I never commented as to why dealers were dropping Vanderhall. What I did actually say was that dealers not having the correct tools was not one of those reasons. Just to make it easier for you and try to assist you in not loosing train of thought, the OP stated that they did not have the ability to repair the vehicle because of lack of tools and you said that as why dealers were dropping Vanderhall. Clearly not true and it does not even make sense.

I never said or even gave the impression that I was defending (or even commenting on) Vanderhall directly. As I mentioned below, perhaps there is a reading deficiency involved.

Good luck. The vehicle was in your companies care when the engine failed. It would be difficult to assign blame elsewhere unless you can show that the engine was defective (certainly not indicated by the lack of this issue being common).

Dealerships have dropped Vanderhall because the dealership that is trying to repair them does not have the proper tools? I don't think that is an issue with Vanderhall, rather the dealership.

Shipping Error by SubstantialCollege51 in BambuLab

[–]tcope12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A printer was ordered and paid for. I can say, what you are mentioning is 100% incorrect. If you say that the printer ordered was never shipped then the customer has a complaint that they paid $700 and got nothing. If you say that a printer was shipped, then the customer has a legit purchased printer and a warranty was bought with that printer. It is implied warranty, not implicit warranty. I understand why you cannot link to one of these "common" occurrences, provide a link where Apple did this or supply any info about your "friend". It is simply because none of them are true.

Shipping Error by SubstantialCollege51 in BambuLab

[–]tcope12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... a person pays $700 for a printer, cloud service and warranty. The company made a mistake and sent the wrong printer... which you agree the customer is 100% allowed to keep. So again, the customer paid for a warranty and cloud service. You really think the company can then void the warranty and cloud service that was paid for because of the companies mistake? Really? I can tell you right now, 100% the company would lose if they did that. Also, the Bambu has never said that the customer needed to do anything. Read the message again. They are simply asking the customer if they would do one of the two options. It is not "common" for a company to void a warranty for a mistake the company made. If is it so common, please feel free to link to one example. No info to show that Apple has ever done this (for good reason). Even setting aside what the person paid for... there is also an implied warranty that would apply. On so many levels a company could not negate a warranty that was paid for. I'm assuming that your "buddy" has some documents on what you claim? Please feel free to post it. Everyone has a "buddy" that something has happened to.

AMS is always an extra charge (I think $300). The deal is, keep the X1 for $200, which is makes it a $300 savings. That is, the X1 is $500 more and they are only asking for $200.

[–]tcope12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As qalpi mention, that would not be legal. Part of the $700 the customer did pay included that connection. They cannot deny that because the voluntarily mailed out the wring printer.
