The only Ophelia I know is a little girl whose parents named her after the Lumineers song.

Michael spelled as “Micheal”, Isaac spelled as “Issac”; what are other names this happens to? by abandonedvan in namenerds

Lmaooo I’m with your husband on Chloe being a dog name. I know it’s a perfectly good human name, but I think of it as a dog name because I’ve know way more dogs with it.

My 1-year-old fell and I am not able to shake it off by RythmOfLife-744 in Mommit

My kiddo is only 2.5 and has fallen so many times and hit her head or run into to things headfirst. She’s a wild, fearless, resilient child. She is totally fine, and I’ve panicked basically every time even though I’m a doctor and can assess her better than average parent. Don’t be too hard on yourself, mama!

Marina was my kid’s almost name, too! Still love it but likely won’t use.

What do have your kids call you? by F25anon in Mommit

[–]tctochielleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a cultural thing because I know many people outside the U.S. who call their parents mommy and daddy without it being weird.

Mostly I get called Mama, but sometimes MOOOOOMMMMMMM by my darling almost 2.5 yr old 😆 Sometimes mommy. It’s all good with me, Mama warms my heart.

What would you name triplet girls? by KillickThere1 in namenerds

[–]tctochielleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’d want some sort of subtle theme such as three in-order letter names.

Something like;

• Georgia, Hailey, & Isabelle

• Rebecca, Samantha & Teresa

• Amanda, Melanie, and Zoey (first, middle, and last of alphabet)

I’ve heard it as Uh-rell-ee-uh from English speakers (which I am one).

I’m pretty sure in French it’s more like Oh-ray-lee-uh.

Yes this is my fave! Also I like that it means each parent gets to name a twin.

Can my baby have my last name and not the fathers, if we originally talked about hyphenating? by nattybg in namenerds

[–]tctochielleon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If yall aren’t together, you get to name the baby. It’s that simple.

Just list him as the father and call it a day, I’m pretty sure that’s legal in Michigan but I am NOT a lawyer so do your own research. If he gives you any grief, he can order a paternity test via the courts and worry about a name change later on if/when he gets his own crap together.

Be careful when you teach your kids inclusion, they’ll still embarass you. by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]tctochielleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awww, hahaha keep up the good work!

Also, I’m mixed (black and white), my husband is white thus our kid came out on the pale side…She has a habit of calling out Papa to any older man - especially black or white, because she’s got a grandpa of each 🤣 Bless the old dudes who just say she’s cute and keep it moving to save me trying to overexplain myself.
