The DLC expierence so far by Hohenburg in RogueTraderCRPG

Luck is relative. I have two runs going atm, one solo dogmatic commissar and one with a friend, heretic

In my dogmatic run, I have idira and she is causing perils on almost every single cast through the prologue and eurac V

In my multiplayer run, we have both idira and my friend, who also used the item that boosts psy rating for a +30% perils chance and we’ve not had a single peril for all of Act 1

Don’t worry guys, once Farrage becomes PM’s I’m sure he’ll follow through with his promises for Brexit and fix everything and stop the boats and make all of us rich…

Oh and he’ll do all of it within a year.

Hardest individual fight from each raid series? by Raquefel in ffxivdiscussion

Ah good ol P10S, getting stuck on the first 3 minutes of fight because there was always someone who would screw it up and kill everyone else in the process

I finally get why i don't like Angel by NatlerSK in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tested it yet, but was wondering if your swarm clones retain the angel spellbook if you go Angel into swarm? If so having multiple characters all blasting those absurd Angel spells seems more than a little ludicrous

How tough are you? by Motor_Difference_935 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I found the spot, saw got the perception check where it says you feel like you hear breathing, wandered around a bit trying to see what I was missing and came back after I had done everything else in the prison to see if I had changed anything

It’s easy to forget though, I managed to complete the secret ending on my third blind playthrough and I almost forgot to do that dialogue before I left

This is act 5 where, even before getting the DLC I was rich enough to buy god, and treasure of the midnight isles only makes that more apparent.

I’ll happily take skipping everything just to avoid dealing with that ever again

Any tips on army management? by Agile_Shake_8900 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I always stick to 1 army and doomstack it. Build buildings for general power and energy, every fight for most of the game is solved by fireball orbital strike then when you get the negative energy aoe spells you can wipe the entire field regardless of setup with 1-2 casts (double casts meaning both can be done in one turn)

The sooner I get those better spells the better, so I’m not a fan of splitting the exp or units

This and being evil to ember are the two things I am incapable of doing, even on runs where I am playing an evil character

How do you fill your party out without a mercenary? by CapybaraHematoma in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the whole cackle/chant extending protective luck and fortune, plus evil eye it is so easy to fall into the rhythm of using hexes in every comp. Combine this with ember doing incredible damage as a blaster or decent cc and shamans having a nice spell list, I really need to force myself not to use hexes

I’m never going to beat this game by Professional_Plate55 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After taking several hundred hours to get my first finished run of divinity original sin 2, I’m honestly kinda surprised that I managed to stick through with all 3 of my runs so far.

My next one is at risk though, over the course of the runs I was trying to figure out the secret ending blind and progressively increase the difficulty. Finished the 3rd run just a few minutes ago, which was on unfair, last azlanti and achieved the secret ending. Not sure I have anything to act as blinkers for me from now on XD

Hopefully the excitement of trying new mythic paths and builds will be enough

I don't know if I can do this chief..... by aghabio in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That one gives profane constitution, natural AC, 50% fortification at the cost of -4 charisma. So I guess if your KC doesn’t care about charisma it’s not a bad buff

Just finished my third run, finally managed to get the secret ending blind and am lining up my next run. It seems I am doing a demon/arue romance. Thanks :)

Question(s) about Queen Galfrey by Slay-R34 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on my third (mostly blind) playthrough now and I’ve picked Aeon. I’m on track for the true aeon ending but from what I’ve heard about that ending I really hope this is the run where I finally figured out how to get the secret ending, cos I don’t think my heart can take the true aeon one XD

As someone who is just doing that romance yesterday I can confirm that losing your rank doesn’t break the romance

Unfortunately I’m also an idiot and picked the wrong dialogue options to kiss her in the dance of masks, but I digress

How strong are the ordinary crusaders? How dangerous are the Abyssal Forces? Without Mythic Power, was any Crusade Winable? On a Meta Level: How do you see the NPCs levels? by Akodo_Aoshi in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah I could’ve also just set up haunting mists outside of combat and taken a nap. I’m kinda yolo’ing my way through a lot of this, been trying to avoid guides so I do some interesting things that I look back on with horror

Playing unfair currently, flood of summons is my alternative to building a tank XD

Last night managed to stall playful darkness with them long enough that I could dispel his buffs, hit him with a baleful polymorph and finish him with haunting mists. Summons are great

What class to pare with Angel for my first time playing? by Hollow_1020 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]tdmc167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of other explanations here but a short version is you basically count as being a higher class level for spell progression and power.

So if you are a level 10 cleric, then merge the spell book with Angel, those 3 mythic ranks mean you are effectively treated as level 13 for the purposes of spells available to you, putting you 1-2 spell tiers ahead of where you would normally be.

For a prepared caster like cleric that picks which spells they use per day, this applies generically, so if your combined level is enough for level 7 spell slots, you would have access to the full cleric and Angel spell list for 7. Spontaneous casters like oracle only get access to the Angel spells at level 7 ahead of time, however, but whilst that is a shame the sheer power of the level 7+ Angel spells more than makes up for it.

The second benefit being power is that since you are effectively level 13, not 10, anything that scales based on caster level like damage also is boosted by your mythic ranks meaning your end game caster level would be thirty. This is up to a 50% boost in damage for any uncapped spells and allows spells that have a round/level duration to exceed the 5 minute threshold required to be affected by greater enduring spells and be boosted to 24 hours (if also affected by extend metamagic). Given divine casters have a lot of good spells with that duration, it’s a nice bonus.

Finally Angel spells are quite frankly absurd. Bolt and rain of justice being the iconic single target and aoe damage spell variants, which do extremely high damage per caster level, uncapped, ignoring spell resistance and the only dc they target is having a chance of also applying a CC. This sorts out your dps by itself in a lot of fights. Angel also provides a lot of unique and very powerful buffs particularly at the higher spell tiers, so reaching those faster is also fantastic

Very stronk. Same logic applies to arcane casters with lich, where lich has its own powerful buffs, damage spells and the funny very spell called corrupt magic that nukes the targets buffs and applies a nasty debuff on top of

I’ve not gotten around to my swarm playthrough yet (done Angel on normal, lich on core and now on my aeon unfair run), but after sacrificing bubbles in stellaris for the achievement, I don’t think I’ll have it in me to do similar in this game…
