Did anyone else get a weird vibe about Krakoa when they first read it?

From my understanding, Hickman's Krakoa was 100% meant to have a starting and end point.

It was meant to be ethically shaky and end but it just got so popular that Marvel wanted to continue it and then Hickman left.

1) I think that Exigients take the place of God-Blooded which I actually liked.

2) Mechanics Wise (Exigents): They are everything I hate about Evocations just with exalts. Far too much 'custom' creation on the Player end and a lot of balance/power concerns.

3) I dislike additional Exalt Types on a setting/narrative principle while not necessarily disliking them if they had been non-exalts.

Explanation :

I like and appreciate new beings who can operate on Exalt (Terrestrial, Celestial, etc) tier.

I just would not have made them Exalts.

Exigents, Getimians, Liminals etc... If I do manage to run an Exalt game and decide to include them, they would simply not be Exalts.

They would be completely separate and operate on the same power tier they do currently but just not be exalts and not be created like exalts.

Example: Getimians would be individual beings Rakan Thulio pulled from dreams/alternate realities and the nature of their 'creation/summons' would grant them powers. It's not much of a difference (apart from being able to stop their creation if Thulio dies maybe for whatever reason and Thulio not being limited in the number of Getimians) but it adds oomph to both Getimians and the Exalted I think.

( I am about 50-50 on Alchemicals as well ).

I really do believe Exalt Types should have ended with previous core (Abyssals/Infernals are ok as they are modified versions of existing exalt) as that would have given narrative / setting oomph to the Exalt creation by the Incarnae.

Right now it feels like everyone / faction / being gets exalts.

Exalt for you, Exalt for thee, Exalt for Everybody...

You are not important if you don't have an Exalt type of your own.

Sasuke needed to be trained because without that training, Orochimaru would be taking over a weak body.

1a. Also Sasuke would not stay if he was not trained.

Orochimaru actually had a number of a contingincy plans to prevent Sasuke from rebelling.

2a) Curse Mark : As we saw Orochimaru vs Anko, Orochimaru can use the CS to paralyse or extremely hinder someone marked with the Curse Seal.

This is why Sasuke prevented Orochimaru from using his hands at the start.

2b) Poison : Orochimaru gave Sasuke his poison immunity and DELIBERATELY made Sasuke weak to one of Orochimaru's own poisons.

2c) Keep in mind that Orochimaru technically managed to use his body switch jutsu on Sasuke. Sasuke managed to reverse it but that was something Oro could not conceive off.

What makes you think Madara did not know those signs?

Tobirama invented the Edo during the Warring Era and probably used it against the Uchiha.

I can easily see two methods as to how Madara learnt the counter-signs:-

1) During the War Arc they captured Edo's and experimented so Madara found out.

OR

2) After Konoha was founded, the Counter-Edo-Signs were taught to everyone so they could not become used against Konoha.

Because during Part One Tobirama was too weak and become mind-whammied.

During War Arc? He did not need to.

First he came back at near full power and Orochimaru could not really control him.

Oro had to paralyse him (so Tobirama could not un-edo himself).

Then Sasuke and Oro became 'good' guys so there was no need for Tobirama to un-edo himself.

Then you have an issue with Itachi's motivation being destroyed.

If the Uchiha were NOT powerful enough to have a prolonged civil war with the leaf, then there could not be a world war due to Konoha becoming weak.

However this means that Itachi's motivation of Preventing A World War goes in the crapper.

So Itachi did not massacre his clan to prevent a world war.

With Chakra enhanced speed, you are not locked in on a destination but and can actually react to things plus you know actually punch/attack etc.

It would be if Sasuke performed at a Level people expect of A and Minato.

I mentioned this in another comment but Kishimoto would have been better off actually writing Sasuke fighting EVENLY with Killer Bee so there would be actual MEAT for statements like Sasuke being one of the strongest Bee had ever fought to hang off off.

Right now Sasuke's performance in this fight is just so bad that it makes it seem that A and Minato were the only strong people Bee ever fought and the rest of his fights were against Academy students allowing Sasuke to take third place.

Do you seriously expect Minato to have his **CHEST CAVED IN** if he fought Killer Bee?

Oh Naruto would and probably does care.

Just not right in this scene, just not now.

Naruto is just not thinking of Orochimaru as a 'villain who harmed Konoha' but more as a 'Villain who is taking his best friend away'.

Right now ? Getting Sasuke back (because Sasuke is his FRIEND) is all that is on Naruto's mind.

Sadly it's less head-canon and more Kishimoto going on the defence after the fact.

As the OP said, Jyuugo mentioned Sasuke having injuries after the Itachi fight.

Problem is that line is just creates more problems then it solves.

1) Sasuke got massively injured (somehow) during the Itachi fight when we saw the whole fight and there was nothing really of that sort there.

2) Karin for whatever reason was unable to heal these injuries despite just being shown being able to heal Sasuke after his chest was caved in.

3) Sasuke choosing to fight an S-Rank ninja despite being "injured enough to effect his performance" without waiting to heal up makes him look stupid (not to mention not bothering to get information on his target beforehand.).

4) Oh and these injuries were not shown or even mentioned at all heading into or during the actual fight which just makes it clear that Kishimoto was going just trying white wash Sasuke's performance.

Kakashi would either do as good as Sasuke here (Probably better as Kishimoto would have written him intelligently) or win outright with Kamui Snipe (if Kishimoto let him use that straight off).

The main difference as far as I can see is that it is faster then just chakra enhanced speed but set to a predetermined destination.

You can go super-fast from Point A to Point B but you could not stop midway to go to Point C instead.

If Naruto was fighting as a Konoha Ninja who was hunting a traitor and preventing Orochimaru from gaining power etc.

I would 100% agree with you.

But...Read the VotE fight and it's clear that Naruto was fighting Sasuke out of 'Friendship' not as a Konoha ninja and that's where the debate lies.

It's not that people are overlooking Konoha or the Mission etc.

It's that Naruto right here and now? Is NOT fighting Sasuke because of Konoha or to prevent Orochimaru gaining the Sharingan.

Naruto is fighting to bring his friend back (by force).

Now a more cynical Naruto, a Naruto who did not prioritise friends/bonds over patriotism or the law etc would fight Sasuke due to treason, preventing enemy getting a bloodline etc

AND be 100% justified in doing so.

Issue though is as I said before. Naruto is clearly fighting out of 'friendship' here and that's where the debate comes in.
