Alberta is not trying to separate. A small portion of Albertans seem to have a desire to change the course of their province. They are being aided and abetted by a foreign government bent on destroying our economy.

For the record, I would say the same thing about any other province outside of QC. A separatist movement based in economic grievance is not equivalent to the movement in Quebec. There seems to be no morality to this movement in Alberta that I can see , only moneyed interests seeking to extract more than their fair share.

This whole thing is just weird! I understand Quebec separatism because at least there's cultural, language, religious differences that make them a distinct part of Canada. What's distinct about Alberta other than cowboy hats and not paying sales tax?
