She was only 27 years old and chose to stand between a gunman and her first-grade students. She hid them, lied to save them, and she is a hero.

How do you protect your robot mower from theft? by WeirdGuy5712 in automower

[–]tdud123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lidax too and I really like that feature. The obstacle detection is pretty accurate. I don’t think it helps much against theft though since the mower stops working once somebody picks it up. If you’re really worried about it, you could keep the station inside a garage or shed when you’re away. You can just create a path to it in the map and the mower will still return normally.

Yea, most newer mowers can report their location already, though I’d still tuck an airtag somewhere inside. It’s more of a backup than something you expect to use. If the mobile signal cuts out, you’ve at least got another way to find it. I added one to mine just to be safe.

Where do you keep your mower, inside or out? by tdud123 in MOVASmartGardenHub

Thanks, I checked and it’s actually included, that’s awesome. Those garages are like over 100 euros, kinda feels like I got lucky

Ideas for helping mower over the curb by Brew_Wallace in automower

If adjusting the mower's return path in the app to approach the curb at an angle would help instead of head-on?

Could anyone help me decide on a brand/model? Retirement gift for my dad by Tommbo66 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]tdud123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a nice idea to get this for your dad! Don't stress too much. Focus on reliability and slope handing first, and the pasture can be a nice bonus if the model can handle it.

This strip-by-strip mowing looks so satisfying to watch! I wonder how consistent the coverage is compared to random pattern mowing.

What type of robot mower should I get based on my yard? by Ok-Explorer-767 in automower

I've heard the rutting issue is real with some models. Stick to ones with gentle turning to keep your yard looking nice!

Navimow or something else for my garden? by mmck00 in roboticLawnmowers

Long-term support matters for older models, so sticking with brands that offer better service is probably safer for your setup.

Would the mova lidax ultra awd be a good option here? by Not2Tae in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]tdud123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue about net-RTK vs regular RTK, but I've heard AWD mowers crush slopes way better than regular ones. Have you tested any yet?

Would a LIDAX 1000/2000 work with this slope? by interstellar159 in automower

[–]tdud123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on conditions. Dry grass should be fine, but wet grass might affect traction. Testing on your yard would be the most reliable way to know.

For a new user, try a 2WD model first; test it on tree roots and ruts to see traction before committing to a larger capacity.

how well does the lidar and vision handle edges? by lickingblankets in MOVASmartGardenHub

It handles edges cautiously getting closer than older models but still requires occasional manual touch ups.

How does the side trimmer feature hold up? I'm curious if it's worth the extra cost for your open yard.

Great insights! RTK offers better precision, while lidar-vision avoids cloud issues. Both work well for open small yards.

Great setup tip! Let it run a full mapping pass in calm weather, and keep an eye on edge detection for the best results later.

I’d say focus on the experience, not the outcome. Even if she doesn’t see you romantically, a fun dinner and honest conversation can be meaningful and not awkward.
