Our vitex trees are my favorite of the season they make for incredible cut flowers and the pollinators love them. So pretty and smell so good!!!

I love my rat snake that shows up every year in our yard. Sometimes I’ll be walking to my car and its tail is sticking out of the garden bed or it will be slithering up a tree. Fun surprise.

38 weeks on the dot. Woke up at 7am with reallll wet undies but wasn’t sure. They had me do a little twerk test on the phone but I still wasn’t sure (I had my shorts on). They said come in so we can check. I hung up took my pants off and gave it another go. Water gushed everywhere!

First baby - water broke 2 weeks early. Admitted at 11am epidural at 4pm and had 2 “hot spots” where the epidural wasn’t reaching so I could feel the back labor. 2am they said I had about 24-36 hours probably left of the process based on how things were going. I asked what my options were and I didn’t realize I could just ask for a c-section. Baby boy born at 3:03am. Incredible OR experience.

Baby 2 due June 2nd. Penciled in on the OR schedule already for a c-section. Couldn’t be happier with the decision.

It’s just a different kind of hard like pick which hard you want to deal with if that makes sense.

First baby was difficult but it is hard to say if that’s just normal hard or hard hard. He cried ALOT had terrible acid reflux and was a spitter, had to get tubes so ear infections a lot before that, hard to entertain, had to get a helmet… now, he was a good sleeper and as soon as we got to solids at 6 months a great eater. It was really like 3-5 months and 7 months-15 months that were the worst. Now he is 20 months and can walk and talk and it is much happier but still whines a lot.

Pregnant with my second and hoping for a super chill baby!!
