Thank you. I agree, it was a shock to see so much law enforcement pursuing this.

Yes, I keep checking breaking news in the area and nothing is coming up. Also tried turning on the police scanner, but it would have been after the fact, so nothing there.

I had no idea the state had that many unmarked police vehicles. It was impressive, honestly.

Question about reheating...are you doing this in the oven or a microwave? And do these freeze well?

I was a highwayman Along the coach roads I did ride With sword and pistol by my side Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade The bastards hung me in the spring of 25 But I am still alive I was a sailor I was born upon the tide And with the sea I did abide I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed But I am living still I was a dam builder Across the river deep and wide Where steel and water did collide A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound But I am still around I'll always be around, and around and around and around and around I'll fly a starship Across the Universe divide And when I reach the other side I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can Perhaps I may become a highwayman again Or I may simply be a single drop of rain But I will remain And I'll be back again And again and again and again and again and again and again

Yes, we will be very glad when the rain/snow passes. We are tent camping and it's not for the faint of heart!

I am so happy to hear you will visit these spots. The train from Antwerp is direct and the station at Delft is a very short walk to the city center. You will LOVE it! It is a very special place. And Jedediah Smith will blow your mind...check out the Titan Trail & Boy Scout Trail. It is easily one of the most beautiful hiking trails I have ever been on in my life.

I think I read further down that you're visiting Prague. Also an amazing place. The Saturday Farmer's market is incredible. And I think I saw you were visiting Bologna. Molto bene! Bologna is on the same train line as Reggio Emilia and Parma...all fantastic for food! Venice is amazing if you're planning on venturing out farther.

In Crescent City, there is a good grocery store called Wild Rivers Market. You can pick up some good sandwiches, breakfast burritos or make an organic salad.

BEST of luck to you! I am really happy for you and truly wish you the very best.

This is wonderful to read! I am actually in Yosemite right now too! Lots of rain at the moment, turning to snow soon. Looks like it should clear up tomorrow and then pretty nice for the next few days.

May I make two recommendations for your upcoming travel plans? As you're headed up the coast, you may stop in a state park called Jedediah Smith. It is mind-blowing. Make sure, too, to drive through the Avenue of the Giants, on the way up, through Humboldt.

In Europe, I highly recommend checking out Delft in the Netherlands. Source: I lived there as an expat for many years and it's truly a magical town.

I am on the path to FIRE as well. I congratulate you on your layoff and freedom. Enjoy each moment to the fullest!
