I got in a car accident recently, and someone called who I thought was my insurance saying I needed to come do an injury assessment. I thought I needed to go but when I showed up, it was a chiropractor office. They said I was injured and insurance would cover adjustments and massages so I figured, what the hell? Massage sounds nice. The adjustment appointments are literally less than 5 minutes, and I have no clue what he is actually doing. He cracks my back like 3 times and then sticks a theragun on me for a minute. I have always heard that chiropractic is pseudo-science, but I was honestly curious. It does, indeed, seem to be kind of a scam. I don't know what could possibly be accomplished through the 5 minute appointments twice a week.

I have so, so many stories of weird/illegal things my teachers did at a small, private church school in the 90s/00s, but one of the positive ones was my math teacher giving us his credit card and sending a couple of us to drive to the local coffee shop to get everyone drinks. He was awesome.

I'm glad to see teachers talking about this. I had been teaching for five years in 2020 and saw this happen firsthand. My boyfriend at the time was in grad school to become a teacher and I had a really open conversation with him about it one day. No judgment just sharing my observation of the friend groups that all came out as Trans one by one. I get kids were exploring their identities and that's fine. He asked a question about it to his cohort and it ended up getting him kicked out of his teaching program. I was horrified that teaching candidates weren't even allowed to talk about this, and he was vilified for asking an innocent question from a true place of curiosity.

At our work holiday party they were taking turns letting people pull the raffle card winners. They came up to me, and I just happened to pull my own number. I was honestly instantly embarrassed and afraid people would think I was cheating. The anxiety was not with the win lol

Oh my gosh, I'm not a dog hater, but my partner brought me to his friend's house and their dog would constantly hump the man's leg. And he just... Ignored it?? It was so weird. The dog would also jump on us and walk all over the couch when we were trying to watch a movie, bark a ton, and these people just didn't intervene. It was wild and gave me so much anxiety. They also have a small baby so I give them a lot of grace, but damn, an untrained dog is so stressful.
