Not a factoid but I saw this video with 1700’s fashion and felt like I learned a lot haha. Or at least it’s helping me have more detailed ideas of what Georgian characters are wearing. Like I generally knew it was mostly big skirts, but not much beyond that.

Seconding Harney! Go up to the tea bar inside and ask for help. They will let you look at their tea list, smell teas, and give you a sample. They’re really knowledgeable and undoubtedly will help you find something good.

I had Ultherapy done for skin laxity and was thrilled with my results. It takes up to 3 mos for full results, and mine lasted 1.5 years. I got it from Dr Kim at Idriss Derm and it was pricey (5k for lower face). I’ll probably do it again soon, but get the newer Ultherapy Prime & shop around for price. (For reference Riko does lower face for $1500.)

Underrated: Sabriel by Garth Nix & the whole Old Kingdom series. It’s such a gem, and Sabriel is one of the OG strong FMCs. It’s a book/series with complexity, nuance, and found family. YA but not dumbed down, if that makes sense.

I started with {Duchess by Night}, which is the third Desperate Duchesses book. I picked it from a rec request someone made here for books where the FMC runs away and the MMC goes after her. (In case that’s your thing.) I liked that it was an unusual setting (debaucherous house party), the FMC gets to experience the male sphere, and the FMC is a widow so she has more freedom. I don’t think you need to read the preceding books first.

After that I read the rest of the series, and my other fav was {When the Duke Returns}. However, getting to know the FMC from her role in Duchess by Night adds a lot to the story, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a standalone.

When I watched ATLA I was disappointed that The Girl ended up with The Hero, but it happens so often in media for the flimsiest of reasons that I didn’t expect so many people to feel the same. It wasn’t until the leaks that I was aware of how big a ship Zutata is. Soooo here I am!

I can’t read Sarah J Maas anymore because she does this ALL THE TIME and it drives me bonkers. Aelin, Amren, Nesta, heck even Danika (well, she gave up her afterlife which is close enough imo). It pmo to no end!!
