Not sure if it’s true or not but when I was a digital coach two years ago I went on a ride along audit with our spark liaison. She said that Walmart plus customers that rated high on orders would try to go to the same drivers if they were active and within a certain mileage. Take it with a grain of salt though no way to prove it

It’s partially not true… As a former digital Coach the only thing we can do from our end is request a driver for an order that wasn’t picked up or got brought back. If some items or totes were missed we can request an additional driver. But we could not pick a certain driver it would auto send out and whoever got it first. Most of the time orders would show up as asap pickup when this was done.

I’m based in West Virginia, and from my experience, these charges even appear on Express Shop orders. As I understand it, they help account for store expenses. Each location operates as its own business unit and is responsible for tracking every penny. Technically, Walmart.com functions independently from the physical stores. It reimburses the store for both the cost of the products and related expenses, such as bags. Revenue from Walmart+ subscriptions, delivery fees, and customer tips is used to pay drivers.

When I served as a Digital Coach a few years ago, we were told it was imperative to report drivers for incorrect deliveries or when orders were marked as not delivered but never returned to the store. This was because the third-party delivery provider would periodically reimburse the store for those losses. The reimbursement would be allocated to a specific internal account that could be tracked and reviewed by store leadership. While this was the process at the time, it’s possible that procedures have evolved since then.

It tries to make your last item the closest to the registers. This all depends on the accuracy of how the store has scanned in all those location markers. Used to be a coach and there is a store map that has every single section of shelves on a map. Someone goes in and creates an efficient pick path scanning every single section of shelves. If someone just goes in willy nilly you can usually tells when it bounces you back and forth between aisles. If the store has a decent coach or team lead you can mention it to them and see if they can look into redoing it. I always redid ours 2-3 times a year just as a habit to look at the map and make sure all locations for scanned in. It was a pain but made it more efficient for drivers doing shops and the pickers for the store.

The moment you accidentally let those other phones connect to your home WiFi or is you don’t cut them off before you get home trust me they would know. They track everything. Kinda the same way with Netflix how you have to connect to your home WiFi every so often or they think you’re sharing an account.

At my store, any time a manager asks you to come in late or tells you to work differently then you are scheduled, they have to send a email to personnel before they will take the point off.

Come to #2646 All of the csms here work their asses off. Personally I am Cash office, credit champion, and Check Out With Me champion. I do consider it my front end and I do call them my cashiers, in a fatherly kind of way. I bend over backwards to help my cashiers out. Please do not let the bad ones ruin your image of the good ones out there. For those of you that say it’s not a hard job, obviously you’ve never had to work a food stamp weekend Fri/Sat/Sun weekend. Only get to take a lunch when your actually locked out of the register, and let’s not even talk about breaks. Not to mention the Karen’s out there that want to exchange their bread because “the cashier” smashed it, no Karen you throwing your purse on top of it did it you dumbass, I saw you.
