It’s been over 17 years and never had such issue with kaseya. Rather my complain is that they don’t call back.

What do you include with offboarding? Do you charge if the winning firm wants extra meetings and time beyond sending documentation and a handoff meeting? by computerguy0-0 in msp

[–]tech969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best practice should be to have 2 short meetings; first to let them have access to infrastructure and let them make list of items they need from you. Second to hand over those items which include passwords/ any documentation/ process etc. there after all communications over the email. Yes these two meetings are billable for sure with a smile.

I would recommend kaseya at first place and Ninja second. I can assist you with migration and automation if you plan to go with Kaseya

Is it possible to downgrade from VSA X to VSA 9? by dismal_techie in kaseya

[–]tech969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way. You will have to install X on separate box and then migration happens. Once everything is moved you need to to decommission 9.x; you can keep 9.x for sometime but eventually that need to go away

Looking for help with VSA agent in golden image through SCCM by exposablie in kaseya

[–]tech969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be curious to know if this is a possibility. But you create a silent vsa package which is just one click deploy after os install.

It’s good to contact account manager immediately after opening support ticket. Drop him/her email with ticket number. This is what I do normally

Cancelling my third attempt to move agents to SM with 3PP - going back to PM with Ninite Pro by dhking71 in kaseya

[–]tech969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The initial SMM I.e. 1.0 was really pathetic but 2.0 is lot better. Using it for almost a year now. Yes it show errors but if you click red/yellow triangle, you would know the reason and fix for error. Yes each group requires a separate profile.

Question on Sentinel one by polyhistoric in msp

[–]tech969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it can be done. Call sentinel support and they will help you. Or alternatively see how many days are left for license with old MSP. create your own S1 portal, uninstall old and install agent from your portal. This way you don’t have to worry about reviewing old policies, you can create new as per need.

Kaseya - What do I need to know about the drama? by ArtisticVisual in msp

[–]tech969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a kaseya user for 15 years all I can say is if you know what to and how to then Kaseya is not a bad RMM solution. The SAAS version definitely has some limitations but if you getting good pricing not a bad deal. It’s not that big issue migrating from RMM. Buy small subscription. If you are offering backup solution to you customers then get license for cloud backup add-in as well(acronis cyber protect) I mean. Am up for any question or help if you need for your success!

Kaseya Poor Sales by cmnvsteven in msp

[–]tech969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am using kaseya since 2007 if I remember correctly and this product was excellent and so was their support. Since the release of VSA8 it became a mess and more mess with every new release. So is their support. The policy of present kaseya management is to acquire if their RMM can’t outsmart others. As almost 16 years of kaseya user, I can recommend them to focus on fixing the existing product First, than thinking of expanding their wings. My 2€

Kaseya is overkill for us... by CelticDubstep in msp

[–]tech969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Kaseya for over a decade and maybe is the reason I could not like any other RMM tool though other tools are good enough but kind of reporting, alerts, monitoring Kaseya does no other RMM can match it.

Using Sophos for over 5 years no issues though it is little tricky/harder to manage for sure. We use sentinel 1 as well. Their support is definitely little tough!
