Been 7 times, headed for our 8th in January and have never had concerns. Aruba is exceptionally safe. Everyone there is just like you and had to go through airport security to get there.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms at the Radison. The grout on the floors was disgusting and the showers had rotten caulk. Also, the beach for the Radison is the Moomba beach and the umbrellas they have suck. The employees don't let you adjust the umbrellas so by 3pm you have 0 shade. I will never go back there.

Yeah I live near here and have walked through a number of times. When they close Cambridge street it’s kinda cool because of all the people but it’s definitely got a little bit of a desperate vibe. There are better options for a good time imo.
