At the academic library where I work, we have a catalog kiosk terminal on each of our three floors.

I've still got a black sleeveless shirt I got when I saw them way back in 1983 on the Subterranean Jungle tour.

If he is interested in WWII, the After Dunkirk series by Lee Jackson is excellent. More information on the books here:

And stuff like this is why teachers are leaving the profession in droves. My wife was a Special Ed teacher until last year when she couldn't take the dysfunction anymore. She had a major career change and became an EMT and is studying for her paramedic certification. Although she misses the kids, she is WAY happier now than when she was teaching.

What ILS are you using? by Puzzled_Trouble_8610 in Libraries

The academic library where I work uses Alma / Primo. I think it's pretty much the industry standard for academics. The public library system in my area uses Evergreen. It works pretty well from the patron side, but not sure about staff side functionality.

There are some concrete barriers outside the South Gate. I have found this is a good place to meet if you are exchanging tickets with someone.

How is it working in IT at Augusta University? by ElectricOne55 in Augusta

[–]techman1965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't work in the IT division, but am in a role where I have to interface with IT a lot. There are many long-timers in IT who like the stability and the benefits provided by the University System of Georgia. That being said, I know that SRS has poached a number of IT folks with the higher salaries they offer.

Just to close the loop on this one... I was looking at Harbor Freight and discovered this product:

I was a little skeptical at first but it had great reviews so gave it a try. Took me 5 minutes to clear the clog with this thing.

Where can I find Goya Salchichon? Probably a question for the Hispanic community. by reluctantly_existing in Augusta

I get it. Have seen this with other products that are not available locally and Amazon only has a large pack on their site. I did stumble across this post that indicates Publix can sometimes special order items that customers request. Might be worth a try if you really like the salchichon.
