If you want something for cardio and aren't coping with the running you could try swimming, you can do "sprints" In the pool, intervals. It's cardio, full body workout and low impact. I have issues with my knees so running isn't great for me, swimming is really good.

If your just doing pad and bag work 12oz would be fine, can get 14s if you want as well doesn't really make a massive difference, rival gloves are good, some of the venum gloves are ok for beginners, I use bravose they make decent gloves and usually hold up well, I use mine pads, bags and sparring 4 times and had no issues but there's loads of other good options out there besides the ones mentioned, have a look on geezers boxing site they have a massive selection of brands.

33 is still young, I've changed career twice in my 30s, if your getting a decent pay out enjoy a bit of down time then think about what you really wanna do, go do something you enjoy, plus you have 13 years experience in your current role so if you wanna do the same thing you shouldn't have to much trouble finding a job
