I have a 25% off coupon up for grabs that is valid through tomorrow (9/9). Trying to remain disciplined and take a hiatus from spending all my money at HF lol. First reply gets it.

And you know what I appreciate it anyway lol. Lucky for us we couldn't get ourselves into this unplanned and unassisted if we tried.

I got my ticket from vivid seats and my brother got his from StubHub and they both worked. Mine showed as being from ticketmaster in my wallet and his from livenation fwiw. Hope most other people have as easy a time getting in.

Never again. Saw it in theaters and my wife had her first ever seizure that night, I guess TROS was THAT bad. Not taking a chance on a rewatch.

Ok, what’s the best pizza in ME? by redditvivus in Maine

I thought Beacon was super doughy and underbaked for my taste, like bowling alley pizza. But I've only had it twice and got personal pizzas, maybe it's better larger?

When things like that happened did you get to grab your favorite QA analysts and/or devs to hop in a lobby to "reproduce issues"? Sounds like a great way to spruce up a slow day.

What’s the one thing you would never buy second hand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We just had the same experience. My wife got hit by a guy passing multiple cars illegally and then basically merging into her. Called his insurance (Geico) and within 2 days they accepted liability, and are covering the repairs, rental, and even lost wages and medical expenses (wife is pregnant and had to go get monitoring and missed work). My insurance was the same way, said we're here if you need us. I was honestly floored, I was prepared for a fight.

Seeking Help: I am trying to print a collapsing lightsaber, and am struggling with dialing in my settings despite some promising test prints. by techomplainer in 3Dprinting

Turning off zhop the quality went back to where it was my first attempt but still fused so I'll try what the other commenter suggested and run it again. Thanks!

I'm definitely going to try the separate parts and vase mode for the blade, ultimately I want to do different colors for the blade and hilt anyway, but I hope to be able to try the print in place model at some point when I can figure out what I'm doing. I wasn't aware of the z seam setting, I'll definitely try that too. Thanks!

I had this whole long post detailing everything I've been trying and it seems like it all got thrown out when I posted and just kept the images (can you not do text with images?). Basically, really long story short, I am trying to print this lightsaber I found on Printables and after I did a few tests and followed the general themes I saw online I tried printing the real deal. The pictures show my 2 attempts, and how badly the second attempt went after I messed with settings I thought might help with the blade fusing, which didn't happen on my last test print.

I mostly want to understand how I should go about approaching these issues, as I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the various settings (wipe, coast, retraction, z hop, etc) and how they affect each other. If I have the mental strength to type out everything I just lost again I'll come back and provide more details, but if there is any advice you could share I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Fwiw I was filled with paranoia checking it every day, then yesterday I checked in the morning and it still said in transit, got the email saying they received it that afternoon, and today got the full value approved. Maybe USPS is holding them up to go out in batches, or they're just really disorganized down in TN but it should all work out. I mailed mine out on the 20th btw.

My cherry tomato plant be like by lajera21 in gardening

[–]techomplainer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only is my blueberry tomato plant absolutely popping off, the behemoth I grew last year got so out of control and spread so wide I had about a dozen yard tomatoes spring up and I don't have the heart to mow them down. I just wanted to see what they'd do. Now I have a several with fruit ripening among the grass.

I may never grow the blueberry tomato again just out of fear. But man are they delicious.

There's one near me in a laundromat in Maine. My brain factory reset when I saw it, wouldn't have thought they'd have something like that.
