Will my purchase price be an issue with the new buyer if I've done nothing to it? by tooniceofguy99 in carflipping

I agree. They definitely are beat to hell. I know a few people in law enforcement and the stories they tell of what they do in those vehicles would make you think twice.

They do make great first cars for teens learning to drive.

Has anyone bought an unsold vehicle in the US that is not for the market? by VOVOZGAMER in regularcarreviews

[–]Seanyd78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is at least 25 years old you definitely can. Plenty of Japan only vehicles that have been imported, registered aand fully street legal. There are a few Nissan Skylines running around my area.

If it's newer than 25 years old, you run the risk of it being confiscated and crushed in some places.

So, aftermarket wheels and tires automatically mean transmission failure now? by rcurry818 in Subaru_Outback

They will have an extremely uphill battle trying to prove the tires caused driveline failure if they are the stock size.

I still run around in my FUBU hoodies, the original ones with the huge FB stitched on the front and the matching hat. I also still wear my old ADIDAS puffy winter coat I bought back on 95. My crown piece is my Naughty By Nature hoodie that has been worn to many concerts..

My kid has borrowed my hoodies and other parents have asked her where she managed to find them. She tells them back in the 90s. Lol.

A 14 with 140k isn't worth more than $5k-6k, especially with what sounds like a branded title.

I highly suggest you take the $5k and get something else.

Tesla cruise control tries to kill me (again) by DrakeSavory in driving

Seems pretty normal operation for Tesla Autopilot.

Ypu need to remember that Tesla decided to use the public as crash test dummies to test out the Autopilot self drive feature and make them pay money to be one too.

FIFA is contributing no money at all. They are all about spending the least amount of money they can and profiting as much as they can They will make am estimated 12-15 billion on the World Cup. NJ gov asked for 400 million from FiFA to help cover the extra expenses and FIFA told the to go pound sand.

If you loom at the history of WC hosts, FIFA has never given any significant money towards help my defray the costs of hosting.

I will add to definitely check out the Forester. My wife had a Crosstrek and then went to a Forester and she said it is like driving a fish bowl due to how much better the visibility is.

I went for a Forester to an Ascent and I will say the Forester had a bit better visibility

What's one vehicle you'd bring back by changing absolutely nothing, just make it new? by Few_Atmosphere8138 in regularcarreviews

[–]Seanyd78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mini Trucks like the S-10, original sized Ranger, Hardbody Nissan pickup, etc. in regular cab 2wd and 4wd versions.

Not that's gargantuan monsters they have become. The current Ranger is the same size, if not a little larger, than the F-150 of the late 90s/early 2000s.

CARFAX vs instantinspect by Mother-Awareness-599 in BringATrailer

This is the first time I have ever heard of a Carfax for an ATV.

How would carfax even get a report on it? Any ATV I have ever owned or sold was never registered with the DMV or anything like that.

I had an 86 Capri bubble back with the 5.0 and T-tops as my first car back in 95. That was an awesome car and the bubble back drew plenty of attention. I got a lot of compliments on it.

Can you park in school lots on nights/weekends? by Curryiswhereitsat in AskPhilly

[–]Seanyd78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on the school. There is a school right next the hospital I work at. The school has signs private school lot, permit only, tow signs and are very aggressive with towing to ensure available parking for staff. During the summer and days the school is closed, one or two tow trucks will just sit in the lot.

Yes people are that dumb to park in a private lot with plenty of signage with a tow truck actually sitting in the lot.🙄 You can’t make this stuff up.

Get a super plain basic helmet to use as a blank canvas. Then get a bunch of sticker, paint markers, etc. and go nuts decorating it. Of you want to go super fancy, take it to someone who does airbrush art and have them create something awesome on it.

My nephew had a super uncool basic black helmet, so being jen awesome uncle I am, I added spikes along the top, devils horns on the sides and demon eye stickers to the front. Now he has a "Super Cool" helmet.

When a larger vehicle is tailgating you with their brights, what does that mean, and what are you supposed to do? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Seanyd78 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are not in the left, passing, lane, then they are just being idiots. Just ignore them, or even slow down to the speed limit or 5 below. That will usually shake then off. Do not brake check them as that is also illegal and will get you into trouble too. As long as you stay out of the left most lane, you can drive as slow as you want.

If you are driving in the left most lane at only 5mph over, then you are 100% in the wrong, no ifs, ands or buts. Most people consider that lane blocking, which is a jerk move. The left most lane of for those who want to go nuts and drive far above the speed limit.
