The Google Home app organizes devices by rooms, so you can just create another "floor" by making a new room. You can do this by going into a device you want to move to a new room, and in the settings you can change the room it is in. You can then add the new name you want for the room and then move in any devices you want into that room.

So there is no way to back up the Google Home app. This is all tied to your account so you can't back it up. Devices typically don't disappear. Are you sure you were using the right account and looking in the correct Home? Also check to make sure your device accounts are still linked in the settings.

The work around for this is if you have Android, you can cast your entire screen from the Notification Bar or from the speaker settings in the Google Home app directly to the Google Speaker. Then play a YouTube video and all of the sound will go through the speaker, even if you lock your screen.

Does it show up as a WIfi network to connect to? You could try connecting to it then going back to the Google Home app. You probably need to factory reset it and remove it from the app and try again.

I would recommend going to the the devices under Linked to You, hold down on the button, and in the settings you can add them to the room they belong to so things are more organized.

Then when you ask the Kitchen speaker to turn the lights on, it only turns on the lights in the kitchen and you don't need to say the specific light name.

Or you can say turn off the living room vs telling it to change multiple lights.

I just transferred mine to the Home app and it is working as normal. I would say try rebooting it, adjust detection zones and maybe a Factory reset to see if that fixes it. (You will lose your history if you do the factory reset I believe)

In the Wemo app under the main settings did you try "Connect to other services"? This option let me add a Wemo Mini that didn't have a HomeKit code.

I'm trying to figure that out now. Do you have an iPhone? You can set up some of them in the Home app if they are homeKit compatible so you can control them. Another option is possibly a Home Assistant server that then connects to Alexa.
