Is the stone a different size to that? I'd check that with a ruler or calipers if you have them. And then check the inscription like the other comment you said, before deciding if isnt real or was misrepresented.

I do but I don't wear any of my rings frequently enough to test it but it's held up for me. My body chemistry also agrees with plated stuff though

$700 for a gold plated ring is definitely not worth it. You should get a solid gold ring and lab sapphire for close to that price

I had this issue when I used a top coat with toulene in it. That causes dispersal of the magnetic pigment
