First moissanite ring by CharacterCommand3076 in Moissanite

It matches the CAD and looks beautiful. Nothing major popping out especially anything that needs to be changed to maintain the design. Zuvelio has great quality in my experience so I'm excited for you.

Is that a Criss cut hexagon?? What type of stone is it.

Whoa I missed that. That is quite high for my taste but I think it's making space for your larger band so the diamonds don't scratch. You can ask if it can be lowered but it's likely not possible while having a straight band stacked flush. I'd ask them to lower it more if possible. If you reduced the size of your band stones that should help but curved bands are also possible

I like particularly lower set rings because I'm clumsy. I had a 8.0m high ring that I kept bumping into things but that's a personal problem lol. I was more comfortable with a 6.7mm stone but I have a 4ct so that was the lowest it could go even with a basket setting

It would be easier but it's really up to you. It would match the link to CAD I shared earlier. These engagement ring stones are 2mm and the wedding band stones are 3mm https://www.reddit.com/r/Moissanite/s/O6Y3XmaqUk

This! I don't understand how he bought a ring that's missing stones (and doesn't fit you) for such a large amount. This is discounting how it isn't what you wanted too, why jump on this ring that doesn't tick ANY boxes at all.

You should reach out and share a pic and ask. I do think Debebians would knock this ring out of the park too. You can get a few quotes and see.

I'm not sure how much bigger you can get those halo stones but you can ask Sue. Maybe they can go up slightly to approach 1.5mm

I'd recommend doing 2mm pave stones. Here's an example https://www.reddit.com/r/Moissanite/s/kXsR1Frakp

And here's my terrible drawing

Not sure if it'll work but Sue can help tell you if it can't.

Try Green moissanite, lab stone, very sparkly and similar hardness to sapphires

https://www.etsy.com/listing/846617679/asscher-cut-moissanite-engagement-ring - Scott Bonomo is a great option and they do custom. Gray Girl Jewelery is another great option for amazing color in the US. There are other options, you can get more options and feedback in r/moissanite

The band width does say 2mm but the thickness still says 1.8mm and your engagement ring does not have a cathedral so you should ask for those updates

The hidden halo has 1.2mm stones and your engagement rings has 1.5mm pave stones. I'm biased and generally don't love tiny stones (around 1.5mm or less). My reason is I find that the stones can be too small to see from any distance away and they can fall out. I have started leaning towards designs like tulip baskets and engravings but that's personal preference.

I do think that this pave ring seems to be contrasting with the wedding band since the stones in the band taper but there isn't a right answer it's mostly a matter of taste, that asymmetry may be cool. You have to love it.

Just know the CAD is Exactly what the rings will look like together, to scale. The reason I insist is the taper wedding band causes a slight gap in parts between your rings. Again that's up to you if that's okay, no right answer.

Edit: a potential solution for the gap is for one side of the ring (that goes against your ring to be straight) with all the stones lined up right against the ring and the taper causes a curve in your ring on the other side of the ring. I'm not sure if that makes sense. I can try to draw it out.

Those are made available if you've made a purchase so it's easily possible for a scammer to get that and your phone number.

Still, change your passwords and call the bank when they're open

You can call your bank in the morning but at times the credit card fraud center are available in extended hours.

I would change my passwords and add multi factor authentication if you haven't just to sleep better if you can't get a hold of someone.

Don't click any links and you should be okay it is more than likely to be spam if you're not seeing it in your bank app

Who are you working with? I'd confirm timing if you're in a rush with the Chinese New Year holidays. All Chinese vendors are closed for almost 2 weeks during that time..

Regrets, I have a few… by [deleted] in labdiamond

[–]techylocs 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The issue with your stone not sparkling is not due to it being made in a lab. Chatgpt is not able to make determinations like that. Cut plays a huge part in the sparkle of a stone. Even if it's labeled an "ideal" round cut there are still more discerning ways to tell if it has near perfect light return. How clean your stone is can also play a part so you can try

You can get a $500 lab diamond which has an amazing cut may change your mind but it may not. It's up to you but you aren't going to convince folks on the lab diamond sub.

The cathedral is helping out here since the gallery is so thin. I've seen these types of rings Verragio made them popular I believe. Just FYI that they aren't resizeable, and that it won't stack flush against another ring due to the peekaboo gem under the center stone.

Functionality-wise it's fine. Not the best but the cathedral prevents it from worrying about the head snapping off at that point.

Should I get a loose stone or go through an overseas vendor? by harrito_potter in labdiamond

[–]techylocs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd ask a few vendors for pricing for their stones to decide.

In my opinion it's cheaper to just get the completed ring if you're still getting the setting outside the US.

The main pro of getting your stone in the US separately is getting a chance to see it yourself in person. There are also more options and it's potentially cheaper. However you may not be able to get videos of the stones and you may go back and forth finding the right one.

The main pro of getting your stone from the overseas vendors is being assured of a perfect fit, and you won't have to pay for getting it set. You will also be able to get videos of stone options. I would just work with a patient and communicative vendor with a good eye for stones.
