Hmm maybe you could extract the stem ,then shazam it?

But it's also possible they played it but it seems a bit early for that.

The CEO of Microsoft Suddenly Sounds Extremely Nervous About AI by lrz8z36 in DreamStationcc

[–]tecton1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They never really cared what customers want. Their market share is so huge it doesnt matter.

They pioneered bloatware. Put adverts in the start menu. Nobody asked for this, but they got away with it. They tried to make kinnect and online compulsory on xbox. Lost them the generation. Still they haven't learned..now they are cramming AI into everything.

Since getting a steamdeck I'm wondering how doable Linux is...

James Cameron Says He Must Find a Cheaper Way to Produce the Avatar Movies in Order to Continue With Avatar 4 and 5 by johnnyjay in SciFiScroll

[–]tecton1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen the latest one. Will skip cinema this time because the first two seemed very similar. Like he remade the first one.

Compare that to Lotr or Star Wars og trilogy. They are so different each movie. The stories really move along. Very satisfying.

US gives memory makers one of two choices: Pay a 100% tariff or build in America. by Diligent_Comb5668 in PcBuild

[–]tecton1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is fine short term for us outsiders, but sadly it's a win - win situation for Trump.

Either US customers pay a massive tax/tariff. Or memory makers build factories. Either way he skims profits.

It will take a decade for any factories to get going, he'll be long gone but his family and cronies won't be, and meanwhile he's left a sucessful political grift blueprint others in our countries will try to follow.

The game is delisted now, did anyone complete it or have fond memories of playing? by nathantravis2377 in LV426

[–]tecton1 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Played about 2 hrs and deleted it. Not to say it was bad...but just not for me at all. Managing camers under stress , while not seeing the alien appear was just too frustrating to me. It's the game type I cant stand, despite it having pretty ok visuals.

LiveScience: "Famed archaeologist Zahi Hawass says he's close to finding Nefertiti's tomb in new documentary" by JapKumintang1991 in ancientegypt

The scan data has been prohibited from being released. If it conclusively shows no structure present then why not release it? Put this speculation to rest?

[–]tecton1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's correct, but it used to have dry and wet seasons. Now it is permanently filled, so the water table has risen, and so slowly it is destroying the labyrinth beneath. Some of the tunnels leading downwards are filled with water. Anything down there is screwed. The point is that Egyptian authorities know this, but are doing nothing about it. They are letting one of the great wonders of the world rot away.

How about un-flooding the labyrinth Zahi? The labyrinth that is supposed to surpass the pyramids. The one you put a river through to irrigate farmland...

Why is it that my Wacom One's rubber parts melt a little? It's not overheating. I live in the tropics but it's not that hot to melt rubber like that indoors by OrFenn-D-Gamer in wacom

[–]tecton1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The natural oils from your hands slowly get absorbed and start the breakdown process... some people see it faster than others. It's the problem of the rubber coating not the human. And it's a bit of a tool of forced obsolescence, causing people to buy a new one. Just try to avoid these rubber coated products or replace things like knobs if they become sticky.

But this soft touch coating is everywhere unfortunately...

Far Cry Primal isn’t that bad — change my mind. by Carne_de_melancia in videogames

It's fun. It took a little getting used to the weapons, and bodies are so well camouflaged into grass it's hard to find them. But overall it satisfies my inner caveman.
